Great hotel, just a shame about the work going on.
The hotel has coped well under the circumstances.
Our room was excellent, just wish the view was better...!!!
Generally we have had a lovely time there .
The highlight was definitely the breakfast room... Wow...!!!

We arrived late evening and were quickly shown to our rooms. I had prebooked with breakfast included. This was a great choice and I couldnt fault the hotel. I think it is excellent value for money especially if you book a deal with breakfast.

Located right off of Damrak square. Easy, short walk from the Central Station.
The room was very clean and quiet. Bathroom was modern and included free amenities. The hotel is small and has a narrow entrance, which might be hard to spot from the outside of a busy street. Inside it has a very urban and unique feel to it. The hotels operates a restaurant that is right adjacent to it. Good if you don't want to venture out in the morning in search of breakfast. All in all a very nice boutique hotel. Would definitely recommend to anyone travelling solo or as a couple and the location can't be beat!

This is the perfect location if you're looking for a quick trip in Amsterdam. I stayed here with my friend and as two 19 year old girls travelling alone we felt extremely safe in this hotel! We also knew we could walk as far as we wanted in the city and didn't worry about getting lost because all we had to do was hop on the tram to central station and there was the Victoria Hotel!

"Excellent hotel right in the centre of Amsterdam "
I stayed here for 6 nights recently with my boyfriend and we were extremely happy with the experience. I read reviews about the potential for noise on the lower floors so requested a room on a higher floor, and were located on the 4th (the highest) where we had no problem with noise. The hotel staff were all very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was excellent. We had read reviews which said to go early for breakfast but didn't find this necessary at all, as it was always well stocked and we were always able to order hot food. The gym was excellent for a hotel gym. Occasionally busy but had a good variety of equipment so not a problem. The only thing to mention is the lighting in the room. We had a very small window so there was very little natural light, and the purple glass in the bathroom gave the room a strong purple glow. Not a problem necessarily but not the best for doing make up etc. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from centraal station so very easy to get to.
Overall a fantastic stay and highly recommended.

Dam Square - Central Station, Amsterdam Hotel Guide
The bustling heart of Amsterdam, this district attracts hordes of visitors teeming from Centraal Station to Dam Square and its beautiful Nieuwe Kerk (14th-century). The oldest part of town, Oude Zijde, is famous for its Red Light District, but the University and the docks bring a different kind of colour and buzz to the narrow streets. Don't miss the Oude Kerk, the Amstelkring Museum or the paintings in the Amsterdam Museum.
