“Like your own little place”
The hotel was very nice, as the room was like a well-kept one bedroom condo instead of the typical hotel room. It had a spa-bath, a common room with full-service kitchen, and a bedroom. I would have no complaints living in an apartment like that for a year. It was like a little home away from home.
“Great Get Away”
We were pleased with the Condo. Had all the kitchen amenities of home and plenty of room overall. Great view of ocean and loved the huge jacuzzi bathtub in room with best shower ever. Traffic noise was significant...ear plugs came in handy for good nights sleep.
“loved it”
We really enjoyed this hotel. Staff amazing. Did not care for view of stone wall but loved all the rest!
“Good deal for the $$ if you love an ocean view”
The room was lovely and comfortable. Generous allotment of towels for bathing, pool, and beach use. Enjoyed watching the waves roll in from our balcony. Enjoyed using propane grill, pools and hot tubs and saunas, as well as game rooms and comfy lounges with billiards and wide screen TVs.Daily fun activities available on a sign up basis. Nice to have a bit of a kitchen. Most appliances needed repair or upgrading (worked, but not perfectly) Kitchen fan button broken off; in room jacuzzi tub would only turn on for the desk clerk (button too hard to push); dishwasher racks missing wheels and too shallow for size of dinner plates provided; in-room TV out of date and had no brightness control - screen was way too dark for some movies. Would stay there again because of reasonable price but would check out condition of appliances before accepting the room. Hopefully they are trying to repair/replace as necessary.
“hill view”
we thought we were going to have an oceanview room. We were given a room with a view a hill immediately in front of us, with view of nothing else besides this hill. extremely disappointed with the view. There was no point of staying near the beach. Also, poor access the the beach. Otherwise, it was a 2 bdr apt with lots of room. They do not provide daily housekeeping during the stay. Benefits include lots of room, and a full kitchen with all appliances, and even dishes and utensils are provided.
“Nice villa”
It was a great experience! I do not mind the car and train noise. I just love the sea breeze and the comfort the villa offers. It is like a cute, neat, little apartment. My family loved it! I would recommend this to everyone!
“Ideal for us”
A one bedroom unit has a lounge dinner, a very large toilet and seperate bedroom with a balcony looking out to the ocean, there is some road noise from the Pacific Coast Highway and the railway line, but not intrusive enough to outway the superb view of the beach and Ocean., or disturb or sleep at night..The kitchen unit has fridge and microwave and comes with all utensils etc. ideal for doing your own breakfast. All facilities are close by, with little over an hours drive to LA or San Diego. Looking forward to our next visit. Would not stay any where else on this coast.
“Overall not satisfied”
The hotel needed makeover. The room was big, but the furniture and fixture was old and it had old musty smell to room. The room was clean, but very noisy. You could hear next door the flushing of toilets, water noise from the shower. In our room you could hear the refrig humming noise and air condition was loud when it turned on. Also there was water leakage in the bathroom on top of the ceiling. Overall I was not satisfied with the room.
“Disappointing”
The room was nice when we walked in but there were several problems. Water came pouring into our bathroom through a vent in the ceiling at 3 a.m. our first night. Nobody was available to help us because there was only one person on duty so the water continued dripping until we had to call them again about 9 a.m. They did not give us a new room and the carpet was wet near the doorway to the bathroom for several days. There is no wifi in the hotel and it is 35 cents per minute to get it... archaic! The staff at the front desk were unhelpful and seemed uninterested in their jobs. The exercise equipment was outdated by 20 years. The pool was nice and the access to the ocean great. Could be a great place but the staff needs to up their enthusiasm and commitment - they need WiFi connection! Thanks.
