“Clean and Modest Accommodations, Excellent Value”

Old buildings and unusual setting, but very clean, modest accommodations. Excellent value if amenities are not important.

The room was good, car park entrance and exit were very steep.

“Never Made It To Check-In...”

Unfortunately, I had a family emergency the day that I was supposed to check in so I never made it to the hotel. It's also unfortunate that although I called the hotel about it, in addition to emailing Expedia, I was unable to get my money back because it was already within the "24 hours of check-in"... too bad I couldn't get an advanced warning, 24 hours earlier, that I was going to have this sudden family emergency that would prevent me from keeping my hotel reservation.

“I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy!”

This is the absolute worst place I have ever stayed in my life - and I travel fairly often. I chose this hotel because based on the pictures, it seemed like a decent place. I wasn't expecting a 5-star room but didn't expect to be given a 0.5 star room! After a very long day of traveling, I arrived at the hotel at 9PM. The parking lot is poorly lit so if you show up after dark, the place seems very shady. I went into the cramped office. After waiting for 3 minutes, someone came into the office. I gave her my reservation to check in and she then gave me a price that was almost $20.00 more than what I had been given online. I asked and was rudely told that I wasn't charged when I booked it and I had to pay what she was telling me. I got my key (which still had tags from when they were Exit 5 Motel) and went to my room. When I got in, I found a small bug on the bathroom floor. After killing it, I pulled back the bedsheets and found black spots and tears on the sheets. I checked for bugs and found none, so I went to sleep. The next day, I left my room at noon and got back at 1AM. I had a giant centipede crawling on the bathroom floor and a dead fly in the tub! The sheets had not been changed at all. I left the wonderful dead bugs for the "housekeeping" to find and as I left the hotel, the woman at the office yelled at me to make sure I dropped off my key. If I could give this place a lower rating, I would have. I feel like I should be checked for bedbugs after coming back.

“Never again-- even though it's the most convenient location”

No heat in the wing farthest from the roaring road noise-- so I was stuck in a room next to Interstate 84....Sheets were never changed-- there was a blood stain on the sheets-- not mine!-- for two days/nights. When I checked out, no one would come to the door of the office. Unbelievable. For $11 more dollars I could have stayed at a nice hotel (which I've been to). So much for going cheap...
