Restaurant staff was very welcoming!

Cons: breakfast buffet was not very appetizing
Location: easy on/off Interstate 84 - Danbury Mall minutes away
Hotel very nice - we got in very late restaurant was closed - but staff got us box lunches from kitchen

The hotel has some nice upscale features but some are a bit old. While there is some hall noise, the noise from other rooms was non-existent. One of the most quiet rooms we have ever stayed in. I would stay here again.

Probably wouldn't go back

I took it as a bad sign, that when we were driving and came upon the hotel, I said to my husband "That's where we are staying tonight." and he replied with, "yeah, right! I know better than that." No, seriously, that's our hotel. It looked pretty dreary from the outside...and the lawn and plants were in need of some serious TLC. Inside, the lobby was nice, but the rug was well worn and dirty...especially in the elevators. The walls to the rooms were paper thin, and we could hear people up and down the hall slamming their doors and talking all night. In addition, we had to try 3 or 4 floors before we found an ice machine that functioned. Overall, it wasn't THAT bad, but I would probably find somewhere else if I'm in that area again.

Great, except....

We stayed 2 nights recently and we had no hot water pressure in our sink. I told them at front desk in the am, on our way out, because we arrived late the previous night and the lady said o t would be addressed and when we returned later we found it was not fixed. So i called them and they apologized and said it would be addressed. Then next day we went to NYC and returned late and found they still didn't fix it. We also found room service only made the beds. They did not replace the used toiletries, so no one could shower and they left 2 toilet paper rolls with hardly any toilet paper on them and a tissue box less than 1/4full. So we ran out of TP, and tissues. AND the toilet backed up...I called a 3rd time and angrily stated what happened and a manager called back and said it would be addressed. It was, a maintenance man came in the am and fixed the sink and toilet in 3 minutes. The manager apologized and said there was no excuse and was embarrassed at the situation. He refunded 1 night and we left happy. Overall, other than that, the hotel is excellent. Very clean, comfy, great breakfast and once addressed it was taken care of.
