“Very Nice Hotel in a Central location”

This Hotel has been a Danbury mainstay for quite some years, so it is a bit aged, howvever very well maintained. The room was quite comfortable and the service friendly. I have stayed there many times in the past thirty years and never had a negative or bad experience. Nice Hotel, reasonably priced, adequate amenities, convenient parking pretty much allaround the building and certrally located to just about anything that you could need or want, a couple minutes to a busy mill plain road with lots of shops, restaurants etc along the route and just about five minutes to downtown Danbury and around the corner form the Danbury Fair Mall. Will definitely continue to stay there anytime I am in the area.

“Faded glory”

The Ethan Allen Hotel in Ridgefield is one whose best days have come and gone. This hotel is all about faded glory and I do mean faded. The bathroom was the highlight of the room, with updated tile, fixtures and amenities. The carpet needs replacing and the furnishings are circa 1988. It is located beside the Ethan Allen Corporate headquarters, hence the name, but it could certainly use upgrading.

“Dog owner”

This hotel is great, much nicer than the others around for the same price. They have a seperate wing in the back of the hotel specifically for dog owners. Don't worry, if you are not traveling with a pet, most of the hotel is pet free, so that you will not be staying in a dog room if you are not traveling with one. We stayed in a smal double bed suite that had a pullout sofa. The soaps and shampoo were very good quality. The only negative was that the breakfast service was excessively slow.

“Ethan Allen Danbury”

The Ethan Allen Hotel is known in Danbury as a luxury hotel. Expedia was able to over me an excellent price. The room was extremly clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was huge. About the only problem I had is maid service came too early.

“would have been great if bed firmer!”

Nice hotel but really uncomfortable bed that had no support and you rolled to the middle!

“Happy they except dogs!”

I was really glad that we could find a place for a weekend getaway that allows us to bring our dog. The hotel staff were very nice and the hotel was comfortable especially the mattress. I would have liked it even more if the the outside appearance of the hotel was nicer. We stayed in a room designated in the dog area of the hotel, and our room smelled like someone had smoked in it a long time ago. We decided not to request a room change, but I was disappointed. I really liked how they provided a dog bag and disposal station for us to use.

“reasonable hotel at a decent price - fair and good for a short stay”

guest rooms get little bit long in the tooth but all is very clean and quite. fitness room is unfortunately a no go. staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast is a good value for money
