“OK to bring your Pet”

Stayed over Thanksgiving nite and the following Fri nite. Staff was nice, however, they messed-up our pet reservation (we called 2 days prior) but were able to accommodate all of us in the end. Teens ended up having to sleep on a sofa bed rather than the double bed that I had originally reserved. It was not comfortable. Facility is worn, but acceptable. Elevator was very slow. 2nd nite we changed rooms for one that had a window that would open. A mistake - as it was the noisiest room we have EVER stayed in. What was next door? a boiler? on the third floor?

Area recommendations

Stop and Shop within walking distance. Good diner down the road. A little further (in NY State) is a Starbucks and a Trader Joe's.

“Trip to Danbury”

This hotel was very conveniently located to the wedding we were going to. They offered shuttle service to and from the reception which was a huge factor in our choosing to stay. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. And unlike so many hotels we've stayed in, it was very quiet. Overall our experience at the Maron was very good and if we were returning to the area again, would consider staying at this hotel again. I would recommend this hotel to families and people traveling with pets. Stores conveniently located within walking distance.

“Comfortable hotel.”

Comfortable hotel. Clean rooms. The restaurant had really good food. I will definitely stop there again. I was travelling on my own and I felt safe in the hotel and the neighborhood.

Area recommendations

There are services on the same street including: McDonald's, Dunkin Donuts, a gas station, and a grocery store. Easy on and off from highway at exit 4.

“It works for us”

We've stayed at the Maron several times-- it works for us in terms of location, price and it's pet-friendly. However, I'm always struck by just how indifferent the receptionists seem at check-in-- has someone trained them to seem inconvenienced by my presence? And the quality of VIVO, the attached restaurant seems to have slipped a bit in the past few months. But despite all these things, we'll probably use the Maron again.

“not impressed”

sorry to say that the rugs are old need to be steamed clean, breathing in the hotel room very stuffy will not go back

“Cheap, no frills”

This is an oddly designed hotel, probably originally an office building. Our room was just ok, a bit on the small size. Bed was below average in comfort. Many rooms have no exterior windows. Facing the open interior area, there was a slight noise problem, with loud conversations in the lobby (room door had poor seals). Complimentary breakfast was minimal.

“Bed bugs galore!”

When we got to our room, the door was propped open with a dirty towel and the maid was still cleaning. Bed bugs in the bed. Towel rack broken and left hanging.

“Reasonable hotel choice for Northern Fairfield county.”

Hotel is still looking for identity. Pluses - Location and reasonable price. Clean rooms, (so so bathroom) Minues - Feels tired. Slow elevator. No signage to help find rooms. Room without window. Not my first choice in area, but ok cheaper alternative to Hilton and Marriotts
