Not an impressive motel.

Posted Jan 18, 2015
Pros: It was a clean room.
Cons: See above.
Location: Located in small Connecticut town. Not much to do there in January.
Driveway and parking area was not cleared of ice. It was shear ice and dangerous to walk and drive on. Only one washcloth and hand towel were provided. Two bath towels were provided. We could not use the remote control to change the volume on the TV, only changed channels. Smoke detector was disconnected and off the wall. Bedside lamp on one side did not work and we found no place to plug it in! The bedside lamp on the other side did not work at all. There was no stopper in the sink and no aerator on sink faucet. Water splashed everywhere. Had to move the tray with coffee maker to the sink area to plug it in as there was no place to plug it in elsewhere. Hotel sign at roadside was not lighted.

Clean, quiet, affordable

Good choice, value priced, worth driving off major highway 15 miles to save $50.

Not worth the money

Posted Feb 26, 2014
Pros: The outer appearance was the only appealing feature.
Cons: The whole room. Website needs to be update about breakfast.
Location: Nothing. Out in the middle of nowhere.
Charged more than was quoted on expedia. No breakfast even though the website said had a free breakfast. Room smelled of smoke with burn holes in carpet even though asked for a non-smoking room.

Not bad for money

Posted Jan 11, 2014
Pros: location is not bad
Cons: parking lot be rearranged
Location: location is good
I am not sure it was good or not, but when we entered the room, the heater was on and warm. We did not need to wait for 30min in the cold room.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Gut all the rooms and redo. Provide clean towels.
Location: Close to Kent where we needed to be.
This "hotel" was awful. Not clean, old, tired and should be torn down. Problem is that it is pretty much the only game in town. The expedia description is a total misrepresentation of this place. No breakfast as advertised. Not sure if wifi is available either.

Convenient on Main Street

Posted Jul 18, 2013
Pros: Absolutely nothing
Cons: The mattresses need to be changed; the one I slept on had holes in it, was printed with Marriott hotels' name on it. From furniture to staff.
Location: Location was not bad, only stayed one night but was not pleased with the service.
Was charged $80.00 per night with breakfast and asked for 2 beds in a non smoking room. Was given 1 king size bed in a smoking room; was transferred to a non-smoking without any problem but was giving a king size bed. When I pointed it out, was told they could not accommodate my request; in the morning when I inquired about breakfast the manager had a fit. "It's expedia's mistake since we do not serve breakfast here, we've told them several times....and on and on.

Clean budget hotel

Not the Hilton, but a clean room - which is all one really needs. Staff was friendly.

Hotel beds were very uncomfortable. Room was relatively clean, but very dated.

Not a bargain

Posted Feb 13, 2012
I was looking for a budget hotel that offered breakfast, wireless internet, and a nonsmoking room. This hotel offered all those things in its advertising but provided none when I got there. When I asked about breakfast the staff said "We're too small to offer breakfast." When I tried to log onto the wireless internet, my computer could see the signal but could not log on. My room had a "nonsmoking room" sign on the door but the room reeked of cigarette smoke. I realized too late the the two little bottles on the sink were both hair rinse, so I had no shampoo. The room had fairly fresh paint and wallpaper but the sheets and towels were stained and dingy with age. I should have left and demanded my money back but was too tired do it. Big mistake. Never again.
