“You will not be disappointed”
We travelled the 6 States of New England staying in 13 different accomodations being Hotels, B&B's, Inns and Motels and the Rocky River Inn was the best out of all of them and definitely the best value for money. The most helpful at reception too. This trip was probably a holiday of a lifetime so the chances of us ever returning are remote but would definitely recomend this motel. On our return I just had to email them and let them know how impressed we were, did not do that for any of the other places that we stayed.
“Excellent!!!!”
The room was fantastic! Surprisingly, there was a kitchenette in the room. We only expected a microwave and refrigerator, but there was also a stove and oven.....even dishes in the cupboard. We wouldn't think twice about staying there again. Very pleasant experience.
“Smooth Time at the Rocky River”
Nice Motel and location. Room ammenities were good in the upgraded room in the new section. Room and size, and TV were good. A few minor annoyances : a few stains on the carpet, bed should be made with fitted sheet - not flat sheets so they come off in the middle of the night. Overall, I would recommend it.
“Rocky River Inn Stay”
No problems, except some confusion about checkout time.
“great home base for Litchfield Jazz Festival”
We've stayed here twice now, both times because we were attending the Litchfield Jazz Festival. The first year our room also featured a stove top and small refrigerator. We didn't need those features this year so didn't request them. The only objection to this year's room was a reading lamp on only one side of the bed. We've found this at other places lately and this certainly wouldn't keep us from coming back.
“where is the exercise room??”
The hotel was great. The room was very nice with a view of the river. I thought there was an exercise room... couldn't find it. I read that there was no breakfast until July 2011. We were there in December 2011.. No breakfast..
“Strange Place”
The "luxury room" wasn't such a luxury. The bath is vast, and impressive. But soaps were not replaced, even after I went to the office to request soap. I spent five nights there and finally got soap on my last night. The shower wasn't swabbed at any time during my stay. The rest of the bath was spotless. There was an ample desk and workspace but no desk chair. There was no clock in the room. No coffeemaker in the room, but that wasn't a problem since another guest sent the coffeemaker in his room to me. Then getting coffee was interesting. The heating/cooling unit is right next to the bed so had cold air blowing across me which was occasionally uncomfortable. maybe the bed could have been placed differently? It's not a horrid place, because it's kept pretty clean (except for the shower), and it was sparkling clean at check-in. Overall not a bad place, just not what it's marketed to be.
