“will not stay here ever”
Well, may be I should not expect more from a 2 and a half star hotel, but it has not been maintained well, the walls on the hallway and the room are dirty, there is a strange smell in the room, it's location isn't good at all, and it's the same price as a 3-star hotel that is very well maintained and has better location.
“A hotel I have come to count on”
Very friendly staff who are more than willing to help out. It's the second time in the last 3 months I stayed there and it's very consistent in service delivery standards and quality. I'm very happy with the hotel and will stay there again.
“Better Choices Available”
This property is older and was probably remodeled 20 years ago. The staff is nice, but it is an old hotel, the TV's barely work and forget about any water pressure. It is as clean as something this old can be, but it two and a half stars at best. Next time in this area, I will spend another $25.00 per night and find something better.
“Will most likely use this hotel next time I am in the area”
Hotel is clean and the staff are very hospitable and sincere. Overall a very good experience. The hotel is in a location where main roads are easily accessible.
“Adequate”
Decent room; friendly, helpful staff; nice, heated, indoor salt water pool; generous breakfast; good location for a traveler, but not near anything.
“Good value for the money”
Not the cheapest hotel, nor the most conveniently located to Gloucester, but still a nice place. All the fixtures are in good shape (the TV could use updating, but I rarely watch TV while on the road), and the staff was particularly helpful. It was booked absolutely solid while we were there, which sort of played havoc with the continental breakfast--but then again, only the Starship Enterprise could provide enough food quickly enough for the horde of locusts that descended on that breakfast. The route into Gloucester is easy and quick, so if you're looking for a place, sign up with confidence--you'll be happy with it.
“Poor cleanliness/Unrealistic hours”
A friend and I stayed here on vacation for 5 nights. While probably a good hotel for anyone in town on business, it is unrealistic for vacation. Breakfast is served until 9:30am. Or 9:20am. Or 9:15am. So really, whenever they feel like picking it up, but never one second after 9:30am. Unfortunately for us, we were visting from California and the first few mornings of the trip were spent adjusting to the 3 hour time difference. Breakfast just ended too early for us. On the same note, we usually did not leave our hotel room for the day until 10:30 or 11am. Room cleaning starts very early, and if they pass your room with a do not disturb sign, they do not return. Out of 5 mornings, they only cleaned our room twice, and only because we went to the front desk and specifically asked for our room to be cleaned. When we first arrived at the hotel, we found our bathroom had hair in the tub and on the bathroom sink, which we cleaned ourselves. Bottom line, if you are going to be awake and out of your room early, you will probably have a better experience than we did. Not a hotel for people on a lesiurely vacation.
“Near Salem”
Pretty basic, on the good side. Attractive. The room was very clean and comfortable. Beds were comfy with lots of pillows. Stayed in several hotels this trip. This was one of the better ones, but nothing remarkable about it. All of them seem to be cutting back on in-room coffee, only one or two packets. The breakfast had more to offer than most but the second it turned 9:30 they rushed in and took it up even though there were still people eating. Waffles were the only hot offering, that and hot water for instant oatmeal. Lots of other cold choices. I would probably stay here and would recommend. Only downer was the maids banging on the doors at 7:30 am.
“Will definetly go back..”
Conveniently located near Gloucester, Rockport and other areas. Pools in great condition. We stayed for a family vacation and would definetly go back. Kids loved it. Loved the breakfast lots of variety.
“nice people”
would reommend this hotel
