Great hotel! Clean rooms & friendly staff!!

My husband & I stayed here because it was not far from two different places we were going to, Salem & Gloucester. The rooms are very clean and the staff was very accommodating! The free breakfast was really great with so much variety! You won't be disappointed with your stay!!

At the front desk, upon checking in/Greeting we were greeted promptly and with a friendly attitude. Our room was not cleaned in accordance with the hotel standards. We needed to call the front desk and have housekeeping come revisit our room, still we found hair in the bathroom after it had been cleaned a second time & one of the coffee cups was dirty. laundry, free WI-Fi, free parking, Bistro (restaurant), fitness center, pool center. We found them to be spacious and comfortable. They contained the following: a chair, flat screen TV, fridge and microwave, the room that was given to us was a small suite. Which had a sofa and a kitchenette. The bed was way too soft with a dent as though the bed had been used a lot. The bathroom needed to be recleaned (shower area, floor as well as the toilet) it was a separate area from the sink. The sink area was also fitted with necessary amenities, that may be needed such as a hair dryer, soap, shampoo. A small bistro was available in the hotel, and provided full buffet breakfast daily and dinner till midnight. The area was well organized, and could seat about 30 people at a time, coffee & hot water were available all day. 24 hour Business center is available. The hotel contained a pool, & tennis court. We found that these were kept clean. There were warning signs that no lifeguard was on duty, the pool was open 9am to 9pm daily. The pool area was kept locked and only accessed by the room key.

Very clean and afforable hotel close to Boston

Stayed here 3 nights, 4 days for a conference in Danvers. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I found the room to be very clean and spacious. This was my first time staying at a Residence Inn so I appreciated the kitchenette (AM coffee, PM snacks while watching TV). I found the breakfast (included with room) to be good and offering a decent variety of food (eggs, meat, yogurt, bread, waffles, juice, etc.). Did not use the pool but did find the exercise room to be useful (3 treadmills, 1 elliptical, and some weights). Distance from Boston was probably around 20-30 minutes with traffic (I was bused in). Would definitely stay here again.

enjoyable stay

Location: Tourist locations and restaurants were near by.
We stayed one evening and arrived early. Our room was ready so that we could easily enjoy the rest of the day and evening without worry of check in. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was great.

The "normal" internet was too slow so I paid for the "faster" internet. I had so much trouble with the internet, I paid for the enhanced high speed internet and couldn't add devices to it (I'm supposed to be able to add up to 3). I called front desk and the a staff didn't really know what to do, she came to the room to try to help but nothing helped. Then she told me to call tech support of Marriott, then to call her back to tell her how it went. I did call tech support but even the guy on the line wasn't of any help, I told him about how I couldn't connect and the speed of the internet is slow on the one computer that I purchased it on. He told me he will speak to his supervisor and call me back but he never did. Then I called front desk and told them what happened, the lady who originally helped me will call me back. I waited for quite a while and then someone calls back and tells me that I should be pressing another button instead of the "add device" button; I am upset that it was this simple and yet no one knew about it until like 3 hours later. The lady really tried to help but I am just upset that I went through all this and they didn't even offer to take out the fee that I paid for the enhanced high speed internet. The speed of this paid internet was also slow too, just not as slow. I had to go through so much and I didn't even get anything offered; I wasted so much precious time to do all this.

Very Large Hotel Complex in Urban Area

Pros: It was convenient to where we needed to be though a little hard to get to off the highway.
Cons: Fix the shower before you rent this room again. It was quite unpleasant.
This was a spacious suite that provided way more facility than needed for one night. The biggest issue was a drain in the shower that didn't work and the switchover valve from tub to shower was also minimally functional. There was about four inches of water in the tub after showering--not a pleasant experience. Otherwise the room was clean and large.

Very nice rooms for the price

Cons: Nothing
Location: The Peabody/Essex Museum in Salem was great!
The staff was very friendly, the breakfast had a nice variety and the staff worked hard to keep the breakfast buffet full at all times.The hotel is close to Salem attractions and only 30 minutes to Boston.We normally stay in Boston but could not find rooms due to Easter/marathon weekend. We would stay here again, it was nice to be out of the hustle and bustle of Boston for a change!
