“Will go back!!”
Definently a very nice, clean and inexpensive hotel, I will surely return on my next trip to the races!!
“Clean and comfortable”
I had requested a rear facing room given the prior comments that this hotel can get noisy due to truck traffic at night. I was told upon arrival that all the king single rooms were located in the front of the hotel, however the person on duty made a sincere effort to find me a room that was likely to be quiet. She called me about an hour after I had settled in to see if everything was okay. I appreciated that. If I am ever in this location again, I would certainly stay there again.

“Short Stay, Great hotel”
I was only in South Boston a few hours, but my hotel experience was a pleasant one. Besides the fact that I arrived around 2:00 a.m. and had to wait for someone to finally open the doors, the quality of the service thereafter was great and the room was clean and very comfortable. I really loved the walk-in shower with the glass shower doors...a great convenience for us older citizens.
“Good times in South Boston, VA”
I was pleasantly surprised at the new Fairfield Inn Hotel in South Boston, VA. The accomodations were comfortable and clean and the room and hotel were well laid out. My daughter and I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast in the morning and the indoor pool and exercise area were a big plus!

Their are not many hotels in this area to choose from, and this one is the newest in the area. It was clean and well maintained, and I would stay there again.

Air conditioning system was not the best design. Too much cold air blowing directly at the bed. Would have been better if blower speed could have been adjustable and if vents were aimed differently. But all in all, a pleasant stay for a reasonably priced hotel.
“An Adequate Port in a Storm”
It seems that Marriott took over a hotel here that was considerably more downscale. Rooms are basic, with no fridge or microwave; semi-beat up furniture; towels decidedly thin in nap and texture; no bathtub. The investment seems to have been in the first floor and common areas like breakfast room, fitness center, etc.-- these are all quite nice.
