“Comfortable oasis in Dar!”

We stayed at the hotel one evening on our way to Zanzibar. The management made sure everything was arranged to get out ferry tickets and transport to the ferry.

“The perfect place to stay in Dar”

We dwelled in the hotel for one nignt and should admit that the place is very comfortable, clean and safe. The staff is completely friendly and professional. We are happy that we chosed just that very place to stay in Dar. It would suit everyone who need to stay in the business part of the city or who don't want to live in the suburbs. So, to sum up it the perfect place and also suits a very important "quality-price" cryteria which is so rare in most African hotels. The only one minus of the hotel is the lack of the one's own restaurant however it is easiely compensated by ordering food to your room from the nearby restaraunts. The staff is ready to help with it. As for the breakfast it is quite marvellous. We advise you to stay there and tasted the quality and the friendly atmosphere of Dar yourself.

“Luxury in downtown Dar”

What a glorious surprise to be met in the heart of downtown Dar es Salaam's chaos by a uniformed concierge and bellhop bearing a sparkling gold baggage trolley and ushered into an airconditioned immaculate foyer. The receptionist staff gladly accomadated our need for an extra bed and the icy cold welcome drink was a treat. Free internet and a well appointed quiet room made for a pleasant stay. No restaurant and no alcohol at the hotel meant a short walk to a nearby Lebanese restaurant guided by a hotel staff member (this could have been ordererd in for us if we so chose). There were also Barbeque, Indian or Chinese restaurants available within walking distance. We were told we would be supplied a light breakfast at 4am due to an early airport start. This did not materialise but was not a problem for us. The hotel is in the heart of town so do not expect sea views or pleasant gardens. Compared to previous stays in Dar this was an exceptionally pleasant place to be. Would definitely reccomend this place for short or longer term stays.

Very descent accommodation in Dar, new suites but lack of insight facilities like pool etc. It is the perfect hotel for a 1 day stopover, no more..Staff friendly and helpful. I would definitely suggest it..

Centrally located in Dar es Salaam. The staff is generally friendly, though the front desk staff could use a little training in customer service.

“Reasonably-priced comfort, without scenic views”

I enjoyed the large, modern rooms with good beds and bathrooms, free wifi in rooms and lobby, 32" flatscreen tvs, mini frig, microwave, coffee/tea, good breakfast. No restaurant in house for other meals. Also liked the two free big-screen iMacs in lobby for guests to use. Few good restaurants in walking distance. The Holiday Inn's are just a half mile away, the walk may seem dangerous to most. I walked it safely, if warily, through some dirty streets with poor citizens who were harmless; otherwise just taxi away. The hotel recommends a few takeaway restaurants that deliver until they may open one. Also go to the Holiday Inn for a roof top bar/restaurant; no alcohol allowed in the Tanzanite.
