nice hotel near to city center and the university

Posted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: it is near to supermarket
Cons: to put a kettle in the kitchen
satisfactory overall experience, however the internet is not easy to use as the password expires every 24 hrs. also the parking a car for 8 euros per day is high

Good service!

Posted Feb 10, 2014
Pros: Great staff
Cons: Noisy; since its close to street and no A/C the window was opened
Very confortable room. It includes a mini-kitchen and there is a close supermarket. Parking is a 8 euros/day. Breakfast at 15 euros. We stayed with baby boy and a crib was in the room already when we arrived.

Pros: good location, nice room and desk attendant was extremely courteous and helpful.
Cons: Coffee in the lobby would be very nice, especially in the morning. Not everyone wants to eat in the restaurant.

Good value for money

Posted Oct 20, 2013
Pros: Having cooking facilities available in the room and close to shops such as Rewe and Aldi.
Cons: Preferred to have a "Double" bed, not two dormitory-type narrow, single bunk beds. Sadly, this appears to be a common in German hotels, in my book.
Location: The hotel is next door to Rewe supermarket, Aldi which is further down the road and lots of other interesting shops and bars.
This hotel offers great value for money. Downside:- I would have preferred a single "Double" bed in my room, not two dormitory-type narrow, single bunk beds. Then again, this happens to be something rather prevalent in German hotels, as I've experienced it in all the hotels I've stayed in.

Germany 2013

Posted Oct 18, 2013
Pros: Being able to open the windows. Within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Restaurant and bar in-house.
Cons: The fluctuating water temperature in the shower. Would go from the temperature you set it at to VERY hot or cold with no warning. Free WiFi.
Location: Not much info to provide, as we arrived on a Sunday and most everything was closed. This was a stop-over hotel as we began our Germany trip.
The room was very comfortable and clean. Forgot that you can open the windows in most German hotels - love that! Only issue was that the shower's water temperature fluctuated greatly and in such tiny showers, it's hard to move around to avoid really hot or really cold water. The staff was very pleasant and attentive and most spoke English very well if that's needed. The breakfast was WONDERFUL, although a bit pricey (15 euros per person). Parking was additional (8 euros) if you used their underground garage and spaces were tight, but it seemed well secured. WiFi was not free, but the signal/reception was decent once we paid for 24 hours (4,95 euros). Overall, a good experience and would stay there again.

Nice place to lay your head down

Posted Oct 4, 2013
Cons: Parking sort of a challenge.
Very close to the market. Comfy beds. Right by the road and kind of loud when the window is open, but did not bother us. Bar and dining area looked nice. Had small stove-top but no pots or pans. Nice bath tub. Drove all around Germany and stopped by this place on our way somewhere else and had the least to do in town out of all of our stops.

Acceptable hotel if you are working in Darmstadt

Posted Jan 17, 2013
Pros: The Staff
Cons: the room
Location: in the German town of Darmstadt, convenient to visit Evonik for example
The staff were very friendly and helpful but the hotel was fairly basic. My room was small and the single bed was squashed into the corner but was quite comfortable. The bathroom was a good size with a fairly good shower. The breakfast was good.
