Won't stay again
The staff at the front desk were excellent, however the room was far from it. The room had mould, a hole in the bottom of the door, the carpet was grubby. Luckily I got the room with 3 beds, because on two of them you could easily feel the springs of the mattress. I ended up on the small single which was only barely better. There were barely any power points with the only ones available needing to be shared if you wished to use the microwave or kettle. None were near the beds so it wasn't possible to charge a phone and use it as an alarm. But then there were no bedside tables to use anyway. Finally while there was an iron in the room there was no ironing board

I enjoyed my stay. Great location. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Clean and cool room. My room was serviced every 2 days. Convenient for shops and restaurants. Pool towels provided.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5day stay in Darwin at the Poinciana Inn We expected nothing more than what we got, a budget priced motel The location was excellent for us to explore Darwin on foot. If I have a negative, its that the bed was too hard for me However my partner thought it ok

The staff are efficient and friendly. The rooms are a good size, as is the pool. The location is great for eating and drinking. It is also near a bus stop.

A very good budget hotel for work or leisure trip. The rooms are quite spacious and clean, nothing is broken inside. There is not much noise outside. The hotel staff is very friendly and attentive to customers.

The room is a good size. I was staying with my young son, so it was good to have a fridge of decent size for our food. The location is excellent - walk to everything in the city. Denman and Chris were great hosts also.

Our front desk hours are 8am - 6pm with the manager on call 24/7 for urgent guest requests. If you needed anything out of this time you could have called the hotel number. We are a budget hotel and cannot have the reception manned 24 hours a day.

The accommodation was lovely, not fancy and located close to the middle of town, however the room wasn't serviced when we were told and after being there for a week with only one service i was a bit disappointed.

The manager changed my room on arrival because I booked through wotif and did not pay their full price. The room he put me in had stains on the beds, it stank and the aircon did not work. I refuse to stay and booked into another motel, with no refund. Terrible it is a sespit. Do not stay here.

Unbelievably great value for money! The quirky manger couldn’t do enough to help me! She went far and beyond the expected even as to find a gentleman to clean the battery terminals in my car as it wouldn’t start! Free parking, close to everything. Really secure. I will certainly be staying at Poinciana every time I go to Darwin! I couldn’t fault it at all! Great stay, lovely staff, perfect position, Walking distance to everything....but the price....cheap as chips! Couldn’t believe my luck finding this little gem!

The old lady tried to be humorous and told a racist joke to me and my friends, unknowingly to her I was and my Friends were aboriginal. Was questioned if I had payed full price even tho I had, which means they didn’t document it properly. And the room was riddled with cockroaches.
