“Waterfront Insular Hotel”

The Waterfront Insular Hotel in Davao, Philippines may not be considered a five star property, but what makes this hotel feel like a five star hotel is the staff. I have been staying there for the two years I have been traveling to Davao and have never been disappointed on any level. Reserve a pool view room to wake up and go to bed with the ambiance of what the Philippines has to offer. Take full advantage of their expansive breakfast buffet and enjoy either Cafe Uno or Pizziaiolo restaurants or order their fare from room service. In either case, in all cases, you will enjoy your stay.

“Our Favorite Hotel in Davao”

We have stayed at this hotel several times in the las 2 years. The people they are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are large and comfortable. The grounds are very well kept and we always enjoy walking around them. We always book a room with the free buffet which is wonderful. The only drawback is that the hotel is about 20 minutes from the malls and there does not seem to be much to do around the hotel. It is close to samal island though if you want to get adventurous.

“Paradise found”

Our 2 week stay at the Waterfront Insular Hotel was so wonderfull. I can't say enough about the staff there. They are so friendly and so eager to accomodate our every request. The only minor flaw is the condition of the furnishings... the furniture is a little worn and needs to be replaced, but is still in functional condition. This is only a minor flaw and would not prevent me from staying again. The condition of the common areas of the hotel and the grounds is superb. The gardens are so well maintanied and the hotel has a very relaxing and calming atmosphere. It is located far away from the street, so you don't get all the traffic, exhaust, and noise of the other hotels located directly on the street. Both my girlfriend and I love this hotel and would happily stay again.

“Waterfront Insular”

Far from town. Great grounds. On the water but no real beach. Water fill with trash from nearby city creek / drainage run off.

“Cool Sea Breeze and Soothing Waves”

The Pirata Bar at the jetty has a great view of the Davao Gulf. The cool sea breeze and the soothing waves are just great. The grilled food at La Parilla is good.

“If I am in Davao I like to stay there again.”

I recommend this hotel and my overall rating is a solid 4 meaning very good.

“Waterfront Insular Davao”

Nice hotel. Complimentary buffet breakfast was excellent - they had pastries that were just right out of the oven - my husband ate a lot of those! The restaurant attendants were great!!!
