“Better Than Expected!!!”

My family wanted to take an overnight trip to the Air Force Museum in Dayton & needed an inexpensive hotel. I read the reviews & looked at the online pics and thought for the cost we'd "chance-it." I'm so glad we did! The pool was so nice (wish they had a jacuzzi, though)...The room was comfortable, clean & didn't have that musty smell that so many older motels have. I wish they had a microwave in the room, we had to go all the way to the lobby to microwave popcorn. Breakfast was nice too! There were plenty of choices even for our picky little eaters...waffles, cereal, yogurt, boiled eggs, scambled eggs & sausage links, bagels, english muffins, toast, apples, bananas, oranges, instant flavored oatmeal, coffee, teas, juices, milk... We would definitely stay there again!!!!!!

“Very convenient, you need a car to move around the area.”

The hotel is in a location off the Interstate highway. In front of the hotel there is a McDonalds and other chain restaurants. There is also a big supermarket acroos the street. It is located about 10 miles from downtown Dayton. There a bus stop in front of the hotel. The hotel has an indoor pool. The breakfast is simple but complete. I would stay in the hotel if need be in the future.

“Much improved”

This Comfort Inn has been refurbished to make it attractive and comfortable. New carpeting in the hallways and rooms add a liveliness that was missing previously. The obvious care that was taken to upgrade the facility was greatly appreciated by us. This hotel is in a commercial area with restaurants, grocery store and other shops nearby. The complementary breakfast consisted of scrambled powdered eggs, sausages, juices, milk, cereal, waffles self made, coffee and assorted breads and danishes. The service at the breakfast was very good. Staff overall was friendly.

“OK for the road”

The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was great. Just make sure that your room is not near an intake duct where smoke can waft in from out doors.

“Ask if they're renovating!”

I stayed in two Comfort Inns on the same trip, one in Columbus, the other in Dayton. The one in Columbus was fine, the one in Dayton not. These comments are about Dayton. I arrived to find that the inn was undergoing external painting, which meant that there was an intermittent smell of paint in the room and that guests were told to keep their curtains closed during the day for privacy. After unsuccessfully trying to use the phone buttons to place a wake-up call, I learned that the system had never been activated. One of the desk clerks, whom I took to be the manager ,was not very cooperative. She and I had a silent quarrel over muting the TV when I was the only person in the lobby and wanted to read in silence.

“The convenience is key”

We were rather pleased with our stay. The hotel is definitely showing age and is probably due for in update. Minor repairs, like the towel holder being loose and the bathroom counter bottom being cracked should be attended to right away. The staff on the breakfast was pleasant and very helpful. The breakfast was good and sufficient. Some staff at the front desk seemed overwhelmed or distracted. Attention to how your guests are received and greeted during their stay is so important. The manager, a man of Indian heritage, is always warm and receptive. We have stayed at this particular facility yearly for about three to four years. The location is key for us. The fact that the nonsmoking rooms smell very fresh is great.
