“Very friendly staff”

When we checked in the lady was extremely nice. I think she went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable.

It is a cheap and convenient place to have a few days. Air Force Museum is very close. Many restaurants are within walking distance. It is quiet and clean.

This hotel is very convenient no matter where you are going in Dayton. The room was nice, the bed comfortable, and there were plenty of pillows (yeah!!) The one disappointment was the "continental breakfast"- it consisted of bins of dry cereal, a gallon of milk in the fridge, oj and apple juice in a soda type dispensing machine, coffee that was fair and tea bags but no hot water. Needless to say we ate out for breakfast!

“Reasonable for Low Budget, Convenient Location to Air Space Museum”

After reading all those negative reviews, I was prepared for the worst. I selected this hotel for its proximity to the Air Space Museum and the price that fit my budget. It turned out that the hotel was better than expected. The building is old but is under renovation. The room I had was roomy with all the basic things. It was clearly renovated with new upgrades. The beds were comfortable and the shower water was strong. The A/C worked fine. There were a fridge and a microwave which were helpful for long stay. There was a little round table and two chairs, convenient for eating in the room. There were also ironing board, iron (per request), coffee maker, and a grounded safe (optional for extra charge). I brought my own towels as I don't feel confortable using hotel towels. Hotel towels are never good enough for me, so I won't judge the towels. Free breakfast in the lobby, I was happy with hot oatmeal and coffee. Kids could eat cereal or bread/donut I guess. The location is great, very close to the Air Space Museun and lots of shops and eating places nearby. I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights with my 10-year-old son who was attending a summer camp at the Air Space Museum. The hotel worked out fine for us. One thing that I didn't enjoy was the noisy travel around the clock from the road where the hotel is on. Another thing was that the bath tub could use a better cleaning job.

“Pretty much what I expected when I chose the cheapest hotel I could find”

I had a reasonable experience here. I took a road trip alone to visit the Air Force Museum, which I've wanted to see for years, and I stayed here for one night. The location is very convenient to the museum. The room was clean enough, and the staff was nice. Other reviews made me nervous about safety, but I didn't have any problems and might not have though much about it if I hadn't read those reviews. It's not that I can't imagine how the area could be unsafe; I just didn't have any issues on the one night I stayed there. The room had several missing and burnt-out light bulbs, but there were several working ones so I didn't do anything about it. There was a Bob Evans next door and a Pizza Hut next door to that. The hotel's complimentary Continental breakfast was pretty disappointing. Overall I feel like I got what I paid for, since I looked for the cheapest possible hotel near the museum, but if I were visiting with family, friends, or a significant other I would go for something better.

“not impressed”

The surrounding of the hotel didn't look well. the bathroom not cleaned, bath tub not cleaned I had to put two towels to even step in the tub. the toilet not. the room should have been better kept up. microwave stunk. the beds well I wasn't even sure if the sheets were changed, very wrinkled and just not looked good. this is the deal I expected a good nights rest people checked in room next door making all kinds noise and trying to unlock my door. We were so tired of traveling that we decided to stick it out until we left but we will never go back to that hotel or recommend to anyone else of this hotel.

“Shady”

I stayed at this Days Inn because it was in the specific area I was looking for, unfortunately nothing else was available. To make a long story short, this place is nothing short of a dive. It's the classic story of a hotel that was probably nice in the 1970's, and since then has been maintained on a shoe-string budget by nonprofessional workers. It's reasonably safe, the housekeeping tried to keep the room clean but it's just a dive, sonly so much can be done. On the positive, it's VERY close to the Air Force museum, right next door to Bob Evans (great breakfast), and the rooms have refrigerators. Forgot to mention, the heater/AC only has HI/LOW settings, can't just "set" a temperature and forget it. This means running the unit all night and waking up to adjust it when you get hot/cold.

“I've stayed in worse...but not many!”

Check in clerk was very pleasant and helpful. That's where the positive experience ended. The door to our room was wide open when we reached it. The hotel employee there said he was airing out the room. The bathroom door looked like it had been kicked in and held in place with drywall screws. My buddy found a pair of soiled womens underwear in his draw. We repeatedly had to go to the front desk for soap as each day any remmnants were removed from the room...even un-opened bars. As probably all rooms in town were booked for Hamvention we stuck it out...it was only a place to sleep anyway. Next time I'll find accomdations for Hamvention well in advance.

“Horrible”

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The management was horrible, they were barely ever at the front desk. They also never cleaned our room in the four days we stayed there. The door to get in the room was broken, so you had to push really hard to even get in. The bathroom was disgusting--the bathtub was clogged, the wall wasn't painted completely, and the door didn't even fit the frame, so it didn't close. There were many other things wrong with the room. NOT recommended!

“Terrible !”

Besides the convenient location (close to the airforce base) the place is horrible. Very unclean !
