The hotel was excellent in all ways. The rooms are very small (micro), which makes it great value to guests who are going to be away from the room most of the time.

This hotel was not bad for the price. The rooms were small, but clean. The continental breakfast was horrible. Cereal and muffins were the only choices, and every day the milk was left out on a counter getting warm. I chose to stay at this hotel due to the price, and would go back again. If they could just get their breakfast under control it would not be a bad place.

Nice hotel, very quiet and comfortable, outside of the city. With good restaurant and shopping area (green) within 15 minutes driving time , but nothing in the immediate vicinity. Happy I was there and will return if I go again in Dayton.

The rooms were clean and quiet with reasonably current decor that was in pretty good condition (not new, but not worn, tattered, etc.). Front desk couldn't supply our party with any extra pillows, though I suspect the hotel was full to the brim on the nights we stayed there (due to a big convention nearby, which was why we were there too). Also, I tend not to bring shampoo with me when I travel because the hotels I've stayed in in the past have always supplied something. Not so with this hotel; not a big deal, though. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised for a two-star hotel.

“OK stay, but don't plan on watching TV”

An OK stay, standard accommodations, clean and comfortable enough. My complaint is the TV location. It's high on top of a closet. To watch TV "semi" comfortably, you have to lay down on the bed. But with only two soft pillows propping yourself up against a hard head board it still wasn't very comfortable. If you tried to watch from the only chair in the room, which was a small desk chair, you get a stiff neck.

“Shady Hotel - Not suitable for families”

We were not very pleased when we got to the Microtel. We chose this particular hotel because it was close to a concert venue we were going to. It was just two girls travelling and, therefore, safety was a big issue for us. The doors to access the rooms were off to the sides and rather dark at night. There was a mattress laying outside on the grass next to the door we had to get to our room from. Our room had horrible lighting and the bathroom was barely lit enough to shower. There were hairs on the comforters of the bed and a large dark mirror (that looked suspiciously like a two-way mirror- so much so in fact, that we both changed only in the bathroom and tried to check the backing several times.) Maybe we were slightly paranoid being two young girls travelling alone, but all in all, it was pretty sketchy. After the concert, we were told by a police officer to be careful, because our hotel was known as a "prostitution hot-spot". I'm not here to judge, but based on these observations, I don't feel that the hotel is suitable for families or solo travellers. No hotel is perfect, but my friend and I both agreed that if we ever went back to that area, we would definitely pay more for a nicer hotel.
