“Excellent hotel for the price.”

I was very pleased with the price, quick check-in, room location (away from pool). The a/c did leak so I had to move to a room off the pool but it was very quiet due to barrier between pool and room. I did swim twice and the hot tub and pool were clean and in good condition. The staff was very helpful and I would certainly stay here again. I stayed her in 1991 when it was a Holiday Inn Holidome and it is still in good condition.

“Close to the Fairgrounds”

Nice clean and quick to get off and on I-70, close to the fairgrounds and the antique malls...

“Just OK”

Adequate room. Does not include breakfast. No complaints but nothing special either. Staff extremely friendly. Was a bit smoky.

“Great Location”

This hotel was a real surprise! It was just a few yards away from the exit and close to several restaurants and convenience stores. There are 3 universities within 45 minutes of this location. We were on a college visit and this was perfect! The restaurant and lounge area was a nice addition along with the inside pool and game area.

“Conveniently located by the interstate”

We spent the night here while driving from NJ to IL. The hotel has a pool and hot tub, which my three year old enjoyed. The bulding itself has seen better days, but the room was comfortable enough and served its purpose.

“Rated best 3 star in Springfield.”

This is an old Holiday Inn, taken over by Quality Inn about 18 months ago. They've tried to spruce it up but it's pretty worn. It was clean though, no sign of bedbugs.

“Room great, the rest not so much!”

I got this hotel with Expedias unpublished rate so knew only that is was suppose to be a three star hotel but nothing more. Saved $30 on the rate but found the two story hotel had no elevator and although I requested a nonsmoking room (not guarenteed with the unpublised rates) I was given a smoking room. The room itself was very nice but smelled of tobacco ofcourse. The worse was the hallways which smelled of stale smoke and needed to be refurbished as did the stairway which needed to be repainted. It was a hassle hauling my big suitcase up with my bad knee and aging body. Very surprised it was a three star hotel. Also, no microwave or fridge and ice machine was down on first floor. The person who checked me in never cracked a smile and when I asked if there was a continental breakfast in the morning he said "No, Mam. we have a restaurant here". Which really had nothing to do with my question. So, when you accept the unpublished rate please know if you don't do stairs well and really can't stand the smell of tobacco it is too much of a gamble to accept the unpublished rate hotel.

“Dark and smokey”

The halls had an overpowering stink of cigarette smoke. The rooms, with all the lights on, were still dark. You had to hang on to the side to stay in your bed. Worst hotel stay we have ever had. We will never use a Quality Inn again.
