“ultra glide”

I read the reviews before we booked, most were right on, the hotel is beautiful, but in need of up-dating, I really don't think it would take much to make this a great place to stay rather than a ok place to stay, i will say the price was right and the hotel manager was better than most 5 star hotels I've stayed in. The breakfast bar is good enough to get you going, :{ what do you want for free} the carpet is in need of replace , could use fresh paint and new beds and spreads, but really I would stay again, and I just can't say enough about the Manager she was great! anything we needed she was ready and willing to assist. . Oh yeah the pool and hot tub looked as though they needed some love as well.

Area recommendations

It's a great place if your a biker, Main st for bikers, otherwise Ponce inlet is nice. If you have to bring your kids it seems to be safe, But I would suggest Disney land , I raised my kids, I don't like yours. also I couldn't find good sea food anywhere? What's up with that? , Can't remember the name but a great little diner on Main st for breakfast

Really I couldn't find good sea food anywhere, I tried we spent a lot of money on less than par food, this is one place I would say stick with the chain restaurants, Really sorry to say that.

“Don't go here”

Had to pul it out of the desk clerk, as to how to park and get to room. Charged for parking. Is this like the airlines charging for baggage? Room was smelly. Came and sprayed with new smell. Many choices on the beach, go elsewhere

“Nice but had a few issues”

The Acapulco hotel was nice and clean but had a few negative. The grounds and building were well kept and the lobby looked very nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. One deciding factor in choosing the Acapulco was that they had 2 hot tubs, We were dissapointed to find out that one hot tub was not working and had a board covering it. The other "hot tub" was not hot at all. We were there in November when the weather can be cool and a hot -hot tub would have been nice, Needless to say, we did not use it. Also- they charge you $5.00 a day for parking! Really? $5.00 a day to park in their parking lot! Also if you use the safe provided in the room, they charge you $1.50 a day! We never ate the buffet in the morning because it didn't look too appetizing, And lastly, I think the maid only cleaned the room every other day.

“Not friendly or accommodating”

Was not thrilled with the staff or the hotel. There was nothing nessicarily wrong with the hotel it was just not great and it did not help that the staff was not helpful when we asked questions especially considering the place was pretty empty as it was off season.

“old”

good location on the beach, but nothing else to say as a positive comment. The hotel is old, the breakfast is...to avoid, and the overall impression is : needs a serious refresh. We stayed one night, just on our way to Key west, and you found it via Expedia Good deals....bit does not worth more than that.

“this is my "GO TO" place when I am in Daytona!”

I always stay at the Acapulco Inn and Resort if I can when I go to Daytona. The location is convenient to the places that I go. The only thing that I am disappointed about is that the lounge closes for the season and a lot of my trips to Daytona are off season.

“very nice staff great location”

staff was very friendly, we have stayed twice in the last year and they always allow us to check in early. Breakfast bar is nice . Pool is nice Kiddy pool is nice. Great location on the beach , I would recomend staying for the money it is nice.

“Been Twice. WIll Go Back. Relaxed and Unpretentious. Vintage.”

I've stayed at the Acapulco before. Didn't think twice about going back. Loved it the first time. Loved it this time. Great ocean view from both sides of hotel. The only thing that made it not as great this time, is that the Breakfast Buffet used to have scrambled eggs and bacon, etc., Now it's just like any other continental breakfast. Not near as satisfying as it was in 2003 when I was there. We missed the convenience of being able to go downstairs and eat a real breakfast meal in our own hotel. Instead we went to Ihop every morning. Otherwise it was, again, an enjoyable stay. And the price couldn't be beat. The price for that view and location, the center of Atlantic Avenue. was unbeatable, Right in the middle of it all.

“Great Place to stay”

Nice comfortable place to stay. Quiet, friendly people and staff. I would recomend anybody to give this place a try. All kind of places to visit and shop within a short walk or drive. I recomend renting a oceanfront room, the view is awsome.
