VacationPosted Feb 25, 2015
Pros: The cleanliness and staff. Pam would always have a smile on her face and would always ask how are things and can I get you anything.
Cons: We didn't like the pancake maker. It was tasteless. Please bring back the waffle maker...
Location: I loved that we could walk to restaurants and coffee houses. Great locations!
We were looking to get out of Indy for a few weeks. I had looked all over Florida and it was just to expensive to stay anywhere. We had stayed last year in this hotel and it was nice. So we decided to spend our 2 weeks in Ormand Beach in this hotel. One thing that would of been nice and I found out about it after staying a week there. They have a room that is a one bedroom King with a living room and kitchen separate. That would of been nicer then the room we had. But we had a wonderfl view of the Ocean!

Definetely worth the money. Nice ocean view, very comfortable room with kitchen appliances. Hot breakfast. The hotel is very basic.

Not as good as expected.Posted Jan 2, 2015
The front desk was very rude, it seems like she didn't care the customers. The washer and dryer were very dirty and it only accepted quarters. The interesting thing is the front desk couldn't exchange quarters for you. The parking lot was also full at the time I checked in. But, the point is you get what you pay.

Pros: See above
Cons: See above
Location: Great location, with plenty of restaurants, etc., nearby.
The beautiful view and proximity to the ocean make up for (mostly) the very dirty carpets in the rooms. The carpets should definitely be replaced with tile or linoleum flooring, since removing the sand and dampness is a problem near the ocean. The pillows were thick and lumpy -- all eight of them in my room. They need some softer pillows. But -- the view! And the sound of the surf! And the walks on the beach! I would go back, but bring my own pillow, and not walk barefoot on the carpets.

On the beachPosted Dec 30, 2014
Location: Ocean, Daytona Speedway
Great location, but pool is not heated. Suppose to be non smoking, but staff needs to tell guests that includes no smoking on balcony. Great breakfast. Very helpful staff.

OK place on the beachPosted Dec 24, 2014
Cons: +VIP reservations mean something and it is bad business practice not to live to the stated conditions of the deal, esp. if the hotel is not full.
The staff at check-in was pleasant and helpful, but they did not give me the room upgrade that was supposed to be extended to +VIP reservations. The room was specious and reasonably comfortable, although the hotel could use some update--especially the plumbing, as we had brown water coming out in the bathtub. The location is fine: close to the beach, with a nice Starbucks nearby, and easy car access to other places. The breakfast was not very good, especially if you are used to the kind of breakfast you usually get at nice European hotels.

Not oceanfront for you if you are a newcomerPosted Dec 9, 2014
Pros: location is good, staff could be changed
Cons: train staff and try to accommodate requests when possible, you feel like they don't want you there
Location: location is good as it's close to lots of eateries, shopping, beach, Boardwalk
we reserved an oceanfront room to enjoy the ocean, instead they gave me a room on the first floor because they did not have any available rooms in a higher floor with an empty parking lot. Asked several times and nothing, at checkout time I asked the person about and she said that they like to save some of those rooms for their returning customers. I am assuming they don't need any new customers as there is no desire to accommodate any requests even with an empty hotel.

No heat in the room and the house cleaning was badPosted Nov 30, 2014
I was not to impress with the help or the hotel room for what it cost to stay there
