“I would love to stay here again!”

This was a mini vacation for us, and I have to say that this hotel stay made my trip even more enjoyable. We were traveling on a budget, but you wouldn't know that by the way this hotel felt. My interaction with staff was pleasurable. They were professional and displayed a willingness to help every time. The attached parking garage provided plenty of parking, there was a very nice shopping center and many restaurants within walking distance. The room was spotless, and I do not know the age of the hotel, but everywhere we went, from lobby to hallways, to our room smelled as if the place were brand new. I would love to stay here again!!

“just for the view”

The location itself is quite far to walk towards where the bars/shops are, although within 3-4 mile radius. Expect less people, less crowd, not for youngsters. The internal structure, design and furnitures and appliances are outdated. True to its name, really has the feel of a "convention-like" hotel rather than a resort. However our room has the best oceanfront view, and the comfort of the room was not so bad either.

“VERY IMPRESSED”

I would recommend this hotel. The balcony view was amazing, the sunset at night. The bed were very comfortable. When we arrived, we had a side view room of the ocean, i called the front desk to see about upgrading to a room with the ocean view within seconds they upgraded us with no questions. The staff was wonderful and friendly.

“One of the best!”

My family was very well pleased with the stay of Daytona Beach Resort. We have stayed in Daytona numerous times, but found DBR while searching for a different place to stay this vacation. The hotel was clean, rooms very nice, staff very friendly and helpful. Will stay there again.

“Very Nice Family Friendly”

We found this to be a very family friendly place to stay. So nice to have the kitchenette, and laundry. The weekend cookout, the dj, the games and also the fir pit were great. The beach was the cleanest beach we visited, I think it was Orman Beach, north end of Daytona. I would not visit Daytona during Sping Break, Biker week, or a race weekend, but the last weekend of July was wonderful.

“Ask A LOT of questions before you book DBR”

I was initially very excited when I found a very low rate for DBR labeled "Resort Choice" on Expedia. When I checked in the hotel they staff told me never to book that, as you will always get the worst room available. I paid additional for an "Oceanfront Room" upgrade. What you need to know about this hotel is that the pictures are from the "North" portion of the hotel. (There is also a "South" portion of the hotel which is MUCH older and the original portion of the hotel.) What I did not know when I agreed to pay the additional money for Oceanfront is that there are THREE different types of Oceanfront rooms: private balcony, semi-private and public. I was VERY DISAPPOINTED when I checked into the room and it was public access. I felt uncomfortable leaving the curtains open as everyone could see in our room, thus not being able to see the Ocean that I was paying for. Twenty-four hours after I initially requested a room change DBR did come through and move us to the newer north portion of the hotel. The room in this section was amazing. It was large, clean and exceeded my expectations. Most of the staff was courtous and helpful. The gated access to the beach is a plus as well as the unique fire pit lit up at night by the three pools. Overall I would recommend this hotel, with the * of make sure you know what you are paying for and get the type of room you are anticipating.

“somewhat impressed”

The suite we were assigned was dirty and furniture worn, carpet needed cleaned. (this was a suite owned by someone and the hotel rented it out. Since we were not satisfied with the suite we called Expedia who in turn called the hotel and we were put into a hotel owned suite that was nice. The manager said that the hotel upgraded their rooms annually. The only downside was that the room service never came to clean the room until around 4:00 p.m. The hotel staff was great to deal with, very friendly and wanted to make everything the best they could.
