“Happy at the Dream Inn”
Best hotel for the money. Nice clean room just what I expected only better. Nice people good rates and on the beach, what more could you ask for.
“Can't wait to go back”
The hotel was very clean. The staff was very friendly and the view was great. We had an ocean view room with balcony and jacuzzi tub.
“Great jacuzzi weekend”
We stayed in a king room with a jacuzzi and it was a very enjoyable experience. The place is obviously aged but for the most part it is very updated and the staff were pleasant and helpful. For the relatively small price you pay it is well worth it. We will come back to stay again.
“Quaint little get-a-way”
The front desk staff was wonderful and met all of our needs. They answered any questions we needed answered. Very friendly. It is a quaint little place. Nice pool area, little seating areas on the lawn and walk out to the beach. It is an older place but I will be going back. Restaurants right across the street and one gives a ten percent discount when you show your room key. It was during bike week and the noise was minimal. The bed was Ok and we slept like a rock. There was plenty of parking that will accomodate a vehicle and a trailer. I trailered my bike. Cable TV with plenty of channels. WIFI signal was strong and it is free. I would bring a family here with no problem. No bugs or roaches to be found. Life Guard station right in front of the hotel on the beach. No one bothered our items left on the trailer or in our vehicle. Will be going back for weekends this summer.
“Can't wait to go back!”
This hotel was just what we were looking for.....an inexpensive place ON the beach. We just wanted an affordable, clean place & didnt need any bells or whistles. I had to call the hotel to get a person to check us in, but he arrived quickly. Check-in was easy, the room was clean, & the service was great. They quickly replaced the broken coffee pot in our room. Staff is friendly & the location can't be beat!
“Oldie but a goodie”
this is an older hotel so even though the website looked nice, I assumed it might be less appealing in person. I would say it looks nicer in the website ads, but I would still stay there again, as it seems they are making an effort to improve the property. It seems to have been recently painted outside, and the carpet seemed relatively new, and furnishings are fairly recent. Bed seemed like it has been laid on by some overweight people, so they need to change those out, and I prefer clean white sheets, as white sheets can be bleached, which makes me feel better about sleeping on them but these were pink. My standard unit only had a shower stall, which I didn't know until I got there. I always prefer a bathtub, but I know some rooms have jacuzzi tubs, so if that is important make sure you get one of those rooms. I was a little worried about bugs, so I bought som Raid, just in case, but never had to use it. I just assumed because it was an older hotel I might need to, but I was there a couple nights and no problems. Also, the closet door was virtually inoperable, it jammed so much that I was afraid to use it because I didnt' want the mirrors on the outside to shatter. Hopefully as they upgrade the property they will fix that problem. It was convenient to have the in-room mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The towels definitely need an upgrade, and need fabric softener. But staff was friendly, and I would stay there again.
“relaxing”
We were extremely happy with the balcony room. The views were beautiful and the crashing waves at night was a wonderful sedative.
“jimvol”
A throwback to the good old days before Daytona Beach was over comercialized, no frills, Steve the owner is very accomidating. Right on the beach, close to resturants and shopping.
“Older hotel - create location and price”
The hotel was an older building and could have used some updating or renovations. Rooms were OK. Loved that you could walk out the door and then to beach without having to ride an elevator. Courtyard was nice. Great location on beach, quieter than most spots. Was there Memorial Day weekend and our area was not crowded at all. Some of the parking is a public access ramp shared by the smaller hotel next door also. No problem finding a spot though when needed and at different times of day.
“Would not go back”
I understand that this hotel is a small mom and pop hotel. However, their are alot of updates and maintenance issues that need to be addressed. We only stayed their one night and we were miserable. I let the water in the shower run for 15 minutes and never had hot water. When I first turned the knob of the shower it squeeked so loud I think people heard it a mile away. It was about 35 degrees the night we stayed there and even with the heat cranked, it wouldn't get warm enough. So, on top of not being able to take a shower because of no hot water, we all went to sleep in our jackets too because the heater wasn't heating the room enough. Definetly would not recommend this hotel to anyone and we will not be going back again.
