Accustomed to 3 and 4 starsPosted Nov 18, 2013
My husband, my daughter and I decided to take a last minute weekend hiatus. My husband requested we have a kitchen. I chose the Hilton at first but I was told the they did not have any rooms with a kitchen; so, I allowed my rep to pick another hotel for me. I noticed the hotel had only 2 stars but she guaranteed we would enjoy it. My daughter had yo sleep on a pull out sofa bed, our bed had knobs that were falling off. I itched all night. The kitchen did nit have a stove and the breakfast was danishes and cereal. We made the best of it but we will never go below 4 stars again.

Great value!Posted Aug 5, 2013
Cons: Some cleanliness
Location: Walking distance from lots of stuff!
Great value! Hotel staff was excellent! Room was clean. Only complaint with room cleanliness was the bathroom floor didn't look like it had been mopped. During our weekend stay, the pool was out of order the entire time. Something with the breaker. However, staff gave us a 20 percent discount and let us stay longer on Sunday for check out. Overall great hotel. Would stay here again!

I enjoyed my stay. the rooms were clean. the only thing wrong was the continential breakfast was nothing to talk about...upsetting when you have small ones with you who are hungry and little to give them..not much of a choice.

Gorgeous location on oceanPosted Jul 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
This was the second time in a week that my family has stayed at the Fountain Beach. We loved the location and the hotel staff was great except for the first man behind the check in desk. Rich M. was the rudest, most arrogant man to be in a position as he was. He was a smart alec the minute I first walked into the hotel and still as I checked out. Besides his attitude, the hotel was top notch.

Very Nice for the PricePosted Jul 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is an older 'resort' hotel but it has been maintained well. I am very pleased for what I paid. Hotel security was great; card key was required to get in any entrances except the front. My only complaint about the room would be that there was mold on the shower curtain liner. Room was decorated nicely. The staff was very friendly. If we were to visit Daytona Beach again, we would definitely stay there again.

Horribble! Do not stay here!Posted Jul 16, 2013
Pros: The pool was clean.
Cons: Tear it down and start over!
From the moment we went to check in I knew it was going to be bad, There was 3 young men at the front desk and they were carrying on a conversation and just ignored us! After waiting for our room to be ready(which was after the stated check in time) we went up to our room to find a nasty filthy carpet and beds that cracked like bubble wrap was under the sheets! Thank God we were only there for one night. This is a pitiful excuse for a hotel. Never took our shoess off cause the floor was so NASTY!!
