I understand the hotel is under a remodel. The beds are horrible and hope they replace those!

HORRIBLEPosted Jul 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
There was no security. Anyone that wanted to get in could have gotten in by using gate by pool. Then door to pool into hotel was unlocked so anyone w/o keycard could get in. Room furniture was dingy and dirty. Customer service was almost non existant. The price was extremely to high for the type of room, quality and service we received.

Location: Great beach, cute town with fun, non-chain restaurants by the beach.
The hotel was under renovation, therefore things were not attractive (long plastic covers in doorways, ripped up carpets. The 3rd floor felt humid, with a slight odor (mildewy). The renovated areas were pleasing. I'm sure the hotel will only get better.

Dayton Nascar Race StayPosted Jul 8, 2013
Pros: Price of rooms was excellent
Location: Location is great if your looking to stay just outside Daytona. 25 mins to the track, 5 mins to the beach. Close to lots of good eating spots.
Hotel is doing upgrades to rooms and interior of hotel so at present condition of hotel is ok. No complaints about that however and it did not affect my stay. Once the work is done its going to be a real nice place to stay with very good rates. If your looking for something away from the high prices in Daytona itself, this is the spot. Breakfast food was excellent so you need to add that into the value you get from this hotel. Nice quiet location, easy to get to from Daytona, and very close to Flagler Beach. I will be back next year.

Note: Hotel Undergoing Remodeling ProcessPosted Jul 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel is undergoing a remodel however is very neatly being done, inside and out. The outside parking lots have storage trailers and bundles of countertops and other building supplies. Many areas throughout show signs of work being done and the staff seems to be working around as best as possible construction. I do feel that if the hotel is being remodeled while staying open a discount or offer a special offer. This is the second time within two weeks I have stayed at a hotel and was unaware that a remodel is in progress I find it upsetting to arrive and find a hotel is being remodeled and I end up staying in a room with no base cove or carpet half replaced in the halls or walking thru the building with plastic sheets hung up. I'm paying for a nights stay in a half unfinished building and can't do anything as I've had to prepay with No opportunity to get a refund or have a place to stay if I decide to go elsewhere.

Hour+ away from Disney World. Under Renovation.Posted Jul 1, 2013
Pros: Less than two hours away from Disney World, near supermarket and cheap food.
Cons: Renovate specific areas, one at a time, and section them off instead of the entire hotel all at once.
Location: Near Disney (<2 hours), directly en route from the North. Connected to strip mall.
We walked in to a construction zone. There was work dust everywhere. There were half-finished projects ALL over the hotel. Missing tiles, totally stripped walls, equipment in every direction, etc. The room was typical Holiday Inn Express, but slightly dated. TV was 19 inch box style. Breakfast was also typical and the woman staffing was very nice, so we put $3 in the tip jar... The only really good thing is there is a strip mall connected to the property which includes Subway, liquor store, Winn-Dixie (supermarket), and the like. Very useful. This hotel is directly on the way to Disney World when you're coming from the North.

Good hotel. They were doing construction but didn't disrupt our stay any. Great breakfast! I'm picky about hotels but this one was satisfactory.
