“Excellent Stay! :)”

Fantastic Stay! I have stayed at 4-star hotels that lacked just about everything including room quality and customer service. At the same time, those 4-star hotels where a fortune $$$. I reviewed this hotel with a close 5-Star ***** rating! The location is wonderful including local attractions, food, and beach within a walking distance, so don't hesitate to stay here. The quality of the room was not luxury, but the room was kept well, no bugs, great view, and had prompt maid service/maint. The customer service was great! All requests fulfilled and very knowledgeable staff. Beyond others reviews of one or two bugs here and there (which naturally happens), and an uncomfortable bed (mentioned in other reviews, but I had NO problems), this hotel needs a better rating. If bad reviewers want Grade A service and spotless rooms, than I would suggest staying at an overly high priced hotel, BUT if you are looking for something mediocre, convenient, and friendly, with very minor disadvantages then you will have a FANTASTIC STAY! If i ever go back to Daytona Beach, FL, I will be staying at the Mayan Inn. Thanks for the great service!!

The hotel was just feet from the ocean and there was a place called the Ocean Deck right next door that we ate at that was just wonderful. Staff was very helpful and very friendly.

“Pleasantly Surprised!”

We visited Daytona Beach for my daughter's Cheer competition. I was pleasantly surprised at how the condition of our room and the friendly staff. We stayed in a newly renovated room and was within walking distance to the Boardwalk and the Ocean Center. We will definately consider staying at the Mayan Inn in the future.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff was very helpful with a situation that came up. They all were very friendly. Our room was always clean. However, I was disappointed with the continental breakfast.

“Excellent Hotel”

This hotel was outstanding in all aspects! I was slightly concerned about staying at the Mayan as I had read a few bad reviews in the past. I had also previously attempted to stay here but was never able to get a room when I needed it. My main choice for this hotel was actually based on it's location - next door to the Ocean Deck Pub. The room was on the top floor, a non-smoking floor, and had an ocean view. Two large double beds, a television, a microwave and a fridge were within. My only minor complaint about the room was that the internet connection did not work for the duration of my stay. There was however additional (although very public) free internet facilities provided in the lobby. The housekeeping was regular and efficient and indeed all the hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It was a bit noisy during my stay but this was because it was during Bike Week. Spring Break is also probably best avoided for similar reasons. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone staying in the Daytona Beach area.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Nice clean rooms, nice view of ocean, and overlooked pool. Staff was nice and helpful. Restaurant next door was great.Location was a plus, right on beach. For an older hotel it was well maintained, and reasonably priced. We would go back again, and tell our friends about it.

“Great Location, Excellent Service”

The Mayan Inn may not be for everyone but if you are looking for an inexpensive hotel located at the heart of everything happening in Daytona Beach then this is the place for you! The pool was well-maintained and the staff was extremely friendly and ready to help if any problems arose. The rooms were as to be expected for a relatively cheap hotel but were also well maintained. All together a good place to go if you want to pay little and have a pleasant time and the location was absolutely perfect! You are right on the beach, and a stone's throw from the amusement park and downtown shops. I would return there in a heartbeat!
