“Perry's Ocean Edge”

I have visited this hotel several times and each time it is an extremely pleasant experience. Right on the beautiful Atlantic Ocean in Daytona Beach Shores, it's located close to everything on the World's Most Famous Beach. From the cottages to the oceanfront rooms, everything is top notch, and the employees are always cheerful and ready to help with whatever you may need. A+++

“What a nice vacation spot”

I had been to Perry's once before and really enjoied it. But for some reason,we never went into the indoor pool area. This time our room was in the area of the heated indoor pool (#28) It was amazing. Very clean, with great decor around the heated pool and hot tub area. It was so nice and peaceful, we didn't want to get out. Next morning they were busy mopping the walkway and cleaning the pool. Before we left, we had to go to floor 2 for the complinetary coffee and home made doughnuts. Was great and will return with family & friends, Go to Daytona Beach alot and this is the best so far hands down,

“24 Blissful Hours”

Can'twait to return. The staff upon arrival was friendly and very accomodating. The pools were so clean, roon was great, bed comfortable, ver impressed with the indoor pool, it was beautiful and warm, with green tropical plants. This hotel will be our favorite, better than the Hilton.

“Not a corporate chain”

Definately not a "chain." This is an older hotel & it shows it's age in places. (just as we do) Room was clean & comfortable, building & grounds were very well kept. We enjoyed our stay immensly even though parking was somewhat troublesome at times even though there is a parking space for every room. (Blame that on inconsiderate guests inviting guests) I could nitpick every imperfection I saw, but for what reason? Every "Chain Hotel" I have stayed in over the last several times had a bathtub that didn't drain properly. On a side note, unless you are in Daytona for a specific event, don't go during those times unless you want a less than pleasant time. Especially Spring Break & Black College Reunion.

Check out the Ponce De Leon lighthouse while in the area. Port Orange Steakhouse in Port Orange. Carribbean Jacks on the river in Daytona.

“Not impressed”

We had major problems with the air conditioning, it blew out hot air. The tub was stopped up and the room smelled of cigarette smoke. I paid a lot of money for a hotel that should be considered a hostel/motel.

“2nd time this year!!”

My wife and just went down for a long weekend to relax and what Shuttle Atlantis launch. We knew right where to stay. Perry's Ocean-Edge Resort is a great place. We found this place after coming down for the launch of Endeavour. At that time we were staying at a different place but wanted to stay one more day. They were book solid but we found a room at Perry's. There was no thought given to staying anywhere else this time. We will stay at Perry's anytime we go to Daytona in the future!

“Good for the price”

Although this place is definitely older, its location on the beach, and the fact that it has two outdoor pools and one indoor pool, made this a very good stay for the expedia deal price. The room was clean, and had a small kitchenette, which was very convenient. Expedia showed it having a free continental breakfast, but it really has a Donut Lounge, where they make their own donuts, and have coffee and tea. Supermarket right across the street is a plus. Only negative was the wifi connection which was at first non-existant, and then just so-so. Very slow. Oh, and the bartender at the tiki bar gave himself a $1 tip on my room charge, even though I gave him a $1 in cash for a $5 virgin colada.

“Disappointed”

When I arrived they tried to stick me in a poorly lit older section of the hotel far away from everything. I explained I was alone and after looking the area over felt scared/uncomfortable. The clerk said she had no other rooms available. After threatening to leave, she did remember there was one room vacant by the indoor pool. The bathroom smelled like urine all week and the bolt on the door didn't work. They did come and fix it although you had to slam the door really hard 3-4 times before it closed tight enough. The one/only window did not open though it had a screen and no way to prop the door opened to get any outside air. It got pretty stagnant. I tried this motel because it always looked great from the outside. All activities offered cost $ you. Will not return.

Hotel is older but very clean. Employees were very friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed the stay.
