Great hotel, just two small complaints. Music piped outside is VERY loud if you have a ground floor room. Tried to watch football game on TV in patio, had to go inside. Resort fee was added after the fact, would like to have been told that was part of the deal.

Family rooms are all across the busy street from beach (not mentioned on website nor Expedia) Room was surprisingly comfortable. We had 2 bedroom. Good space but one bathroom. Beds were very comfortable for good night's sleep. Crossing road with kids was a pain for beach, pool and BBQ. BBQ wouldn't stay lit due to wind (they supplied charcoal). They need a bbq on other side of road. Street parking if busy. Property is family owned- they were very kind & accomodating. Cable was more off than on throughout stay. Mix matched furniture, kitchen supplies, older appliances, utensils etc & decoration could use improvement but all worked. Not even close to the Hilton but functional and we had fun!

Stayed the first day of Biketoberfest. The room was very clean with updates since my last stay a couple of years ago. The location is great. The staff worked very hard to accommodate a bunch of bikers and they couldn't be friendlier, especially the young lady Desk Clerk 10-16-2014 afternoon and 10-17-2014 morning!

The Driftwood Resort in Ormond Beach was a pleasure to stay at. We booked 4 nights during Spring Break at a fairly reasonable price, and when we needed to stay another night, we were given the same price, even though the rate had went up considerably. The staff were all sweet and seemed to genuinely want to make you happy. The room was spotless, not a bug or stain in sight! Housekeeping was efficient and friendly. The WiFi connection was always strong, which is a must-have nowadays. The grounds are nicely kept, and the pool was crystal clear. There were always enough lounging chairs outside, and all of the gates around the pool/beach entrance were working properly, which is a MUST for safety! After dark, all of the corridors and outside areas were very well lit, and it seemed secure. I will say the Spring Break crowd there were pretty loud in the wee hours of the morning, but it was SPRING BREAK; I am sure it would have been a whole lot worse farther down A1A, into Daytona. The only drawback to this hotel was PARKING!! This is an issue at almost all beach-side hotels, but it seemed especially cramped to me.The hotel is located directly across the street from Pirates Cove mini golf, and within 3 mins of CVS, Publix, Burger King, IHop, etc. We will def stay there again!!
