“wonderful place to stay. Staff was great”

I was having ceramic tile put in to my home so we stayed here until the floor was done we were very comfortable and the staff could not have been better.

Everyone and everything was more than satisfactory. The view from the room, the accomodations and cleanliness couldn't have been any better. I'll come back again.

“Had a great time!”

The location couldn't have been better for us, many great things within walking distance (Oceanview Shoppes, mini amusement park, stores, restaurants) and since it on the main street, everything we drove to was a straight shot. The pool was great, and just a few steps from the beach. Very nice area of the beach, and we loved that we could rent an umbrella and 2 lounge chairs right on the beach (you get a discount as a hotel patron-ask at reception desk) The bar made great drinks, the restaurant was great for lunch but you should bypass breakfast - pretty expensive and not very good or fresh. The hotel exterior is beautiful and the main areas (lobby, pool, etc) are very nice, but the upstairs hallways are a little run down to be honest. The rooms are a bit smaller than I expected and very basic but balcony was fabulous! Great view. Only other complaints are tiny - some of the outlets didn't work, the tub was worn and small and there was only one towel hook(?at a beach hotel?) but everything was clean, the maids did a great job and left lots of towels. For the price we felt it was a fantastic deal. We went in October and it was not crowded at all, weather was perfect, beach rocked and we will be back next year!

“Exceeded My Expectations”

Based on other reviews, I didn't have high expectations for the hotel but booked based on the price. I travelled during mid-November so it was the slow season, but I had no problems at all with my stay. The front desk was nice and helpful. Christina at the hotel bar was awesome and so friendly. The room was nice - a couple dings here and there, but nothing that hampered my stay. Great view, the balcony was wonderful (it had furniture!) and the mini kitchen was good for storing a few food items. Housekeeping also did an excellent job of supplying fresh towels, tidying the room and changing the linens. Pool area was nice and sunny most all day though the pool was too cool to get in. A very enjoyable stay and a hotel I would definitely return to!

Every thing was great just as I had been told near everything great view pet friendly great staff.

“Spring Break”

I went down with a group of people spring break and this hotel couldn't have been better. It was centrally located to most of the clubs. They had a DJ at the pool everyday and the pool deck was normally packed with spring breakers. Most of the hotel staff was cool. On the down side, there was a deposit for every person in the room which we had to pay when we got there(which is standard for spring break). We did get the full deposit back. All of the balconies were locked to all of the spring breakers for insurance purposes which was kind of a downer but its not like we really spent that much time in our room. Overall it was great spring break hotel.

“Wonderful experience!!!”

I took my 17 year old daughter and her friend and we all had a wonderful time! The hotel was in a great location with a beautiful pool directly on the beach! The hotel was very clean and convenient. We had a microwave and refrigerator in the room, which was nice - so we could have breakfast and lunch in our room and get back out to the beach. In the evenings we went out to dinner and walked around the area. It was only about 10 minutes from the airport and cost about $20 for a taxi. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to everyone and I intend to go back!!!!

“We stay here everytime we're in Daytona Beach!”

The Plaza Ocean Club has become our home away from home. There is nothing fancy about the hotel but the rooms are always clean, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the prices are reasonable. The pool area is a fun place with music and a great bar. The bar tenders are great and the Voodoo Punches are yummy!! My only complaint is that the elevators are soooo slow!

“Two Thumbs Up!! Has to be the best deal in Daytona Beach!!”

Just want to say that I went to Daytona Beach in January for a wedding. I am a single male 30 years old. It was my first time in Daytona and it was the "off-season", however it is a tourist town and I must have seen at least 50 hotels on the strip. I knew that Daytona was a tourist town when I booked so I was scared about booking a hotel without a national name since tourist traps can provide some sketchy hotels. I got a great price thru Expedia so I took a chance on the Plaza Club. Needless to say, I was more than pleased. It was one of the most attractive hotels on the strip and in a prime location. I had a great view of the ocean from my balcony. Anything you would need or want to do for any age at any time of day is within walking distance. Room was great and staff very friendly, granted I am a very low-maintenance customer who makes minimum requests and usually denies room service during my stay. I did however end up splitting the room with a friend at the last sec and the hotel gladly changed my reservation from one bed to two with a simple phone call. When I return to Daytona in the future I will try and rebook with Plaza Club first and hope I can still get a great deal! Highly Recommended!! Thanks!!

“Great place to stay!”

We booked with this hotel for many reasons. We were extremely impressed with the pics posted on this site. When we got to the hotel, the pics were true to the actual hotel. Very clean, elegant, staff were very courteous and helpful. The ocean view from our room was breathtaking. The location is within walking distance to many shops and attractions. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Very nice.
