The staff was friendly. The room was dirty, the couch arms were peeling off. It looked rundown. I was nervous that it might have had bugs so I lift the mattress and pulled my back muscles, but luckily there were no signs of bugs. They need to renovate the rooms. I was in a room above the office.

Ups and downs. We emailed asking about the pool closure from hurricane damage. We were told the heated indoor pool is open and there was a jacuzzi open & beach access, but the outdoor pool with the slide was closed. Upon arrival, the hot tub had a broken pump and was freezing cold and outside. Heated indoor pool was nice but crowded. There were multiple people inviting guests to use the facilities during the day and evening that didn’t have on resort wristbands. We noticed many guests were in the pool until after midnight (the pool closed around 10-10:30) and this made it a little difficult to get to sleep as our room was above the enclosed pool deck. When we woke the next morning, we saw a roach on a blue decorative pillow in the corner of the room. The great moments included an easy check in. We each received a bracelet that was the key to get in our room and made it obvious we were guests and easy to pick out other guests. Neat feature we love seeing at resorts. The staff was very friendly every encounter we had. Check in, check out, and asking for an extra blanket before bed. They joked, smiled, and were a jewel of the property. The bug was hopefully a fluke. But the broken jacuzzi after an email stating it was working the day before we checked in was the worst part for a mom of four who just wanted to soak and relax.

This is a place that needs some love. Pretty old place. Two buildings. One is like a motel. The other one is like a hotel. I ended up in the motel section. Wasn't as good as I hope it would be. A bit smelly.

Easy check in, nice area, very clean. My only issue was there was no hot water. When I called the front desk, I was told the maintenance man was on break was told to just run the water for 30 min. Didn't work. Maintenance never showed up. Had to leave so took a cold shower.

We always enjoy Sun Viking. The young lady at check-in was awesome. Saw my disability and moved our room to a ground floor. The hotel was very clean. The microwave didnt work and there was no shower curtain. But the shower was super clean.

I have been staying here for over a decade. It is a great place to bring your family. They have a indoor and outdoor pool. Currently the outdoor pool is being redone due to damage from the last hurricane. They have plenty of outdoor seating to lounge around in the sun. They have a small place to get breakfast and lunch that is poolside. They also have daily activities like a coffee club, bingo, and other activities for the kids. There is also a game room and playground.

My family of four stayed one night, and I was pleased with our accommodations! The front desk staff was extremely friendly and welcoming! The indoor pool was heated, and very cute! Beach access and the restaurant on the property make it convenient to enjoy the ocean without having to walk miles away to find food. The rooms are equipped with a small kitchen, which is great and they are very clean! The outdoor pool and playground were closed unfortunately due to renovations, but overall I enjoyed my stay! The price is affordable for a family, and is oceanfront, I will be visiting again the next time I’m in Daytona Beach!!

Good price for the location. Overall property condition is clean. The outdoor pool and waterslide are not accessible (hurricane damage). They are both currently under repair and blocked off. There is still an indoor heated pool, hot tub and beach access. The 2 rooms we were given smelled really bad (mildew/musty smell). Assuming this was from the hurricane damage as well. Recommend checking your room BEFORE you officially "check-in". Staff was very nice. Common areas are clean. 1 parking spot per room and it seems like there is plenty of parking.

Ok if under 100 and resort fees, for what?
Check in was ok but smelled like I was at a bake out. (Weed) We were charged a resort fee yet the hot tub they advertised was not hot. We were told breakfast is at 7:30 not true. Someone needs to up the management. We overlooked a awning with lighters, bottles, and shoes which had been there a while. Nothing at this place speaks above a 2 star.

This property was perfect for a family. We had adequate space in our room, a beautiful view, and easy access to the indoor pool and beach. There is a basketball area and cafe for convenience. The facility is old and there were some touches that are needed for it to really be 5 stars. However, the kindness and courtesy extended by the staff more than made up for it.
