“Great place to stay on the beach”

Room was bigger than expected. View was fabulous. Could walk to nearby gift shops. All the staff were very inviting and friendly and made us feel at home, which is very important to me. Very family oriented. Will definitely stay there again.

“Tropical Winds = Great Beach Relaxation”

My room was an ocean view king. I loved the fact that my balcony looked right out onto the water and beach. I came to relax and that's exactly what I got. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The on-site cafe was reasonably priced and provided a nice atmosphere to enjoy their delicious food. The pool was beautiful and well kept, and provided direct access to the beach. For the price, I was extremely pleased with this hotel!

“Another nice visit.”

We have stayed at the Tropical Winds 3 times in the last year. We have found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The view of the ocean is great. The rooms are clean and spacious. We always get the rooms with a kitchen to save on cost of eating out and all the appliances work well. Grounds are very nicely landscaped. I can't think of any thing bad to say about this place. We will be back ( a lot)

“Great service, Great view, Great hotel!”

I only stayed 3 nights, but I had a wonderful time. The staff was very friendly and very accomodating. My flight left very late in the day (well after the 11:00 am check out time), but for a small fee, they let me stay until 5:00 pm. I was incredibly greatful! The hotel does need some updating, but you're not there to spend time in the room! The room I had to myself was HUGE compared to some other hotels! The pool was really nice with a large deck and tons of chairs. They have a cafe for breakfast and lunch down by the pool - make sure to check that out! Good food!!

“Great experience for the price”

An older hotel but our oceanfront room was very nice and clean. The view was the greatest and hard to find at a cheaper price. The room was quiet - no nosies from the people next door during our 4 night stay, which we consider an unexpected bonus. Personnel were friendly and the parking was free. Hard to beat this hotel. We will definitely be going back there when we want a beach.

“Treated like family”

This hotel offers an inside heated pool, an elevator that keeps you waiting under 2 minutes! Clean, clean, clean; everything was clean and well maintained. Our room had a real kitchen that offered a conventional stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishes and silverware. Everything was exceptional.

We were very pleased with Tropical Winds. Room was clean. Service was great. Enjoyed brekfast at the Poolside Cafe. Good location. Can't wait to go back

“Good oceanfront choice”

A great choice for the money- clean, well kept rooms and better maintenance than many of the hotels in this price range. The kitchenette was updated and clean, much better than others along this strip.

“Will probably use again”

I asked for and got an ocean front efficiency, and it was very pleasant. I was impressed by the items provided by the kitchen area, e.g. a full size fridge-freezer. Everything was very clean and well laid out. There was plenty of wardrobe and drawer space provided, and the bed was very comfortable. There was an adequate suply of luggage carts, and plenty of room for one of them in the two large lifts. The only thing I did not like about the hotel was the stairs, which were gloomy and rather spartan.

“Great Beach Getaway”

This is your typical beach hotel. You're not there for the plushness,rather the convenience to the beach. Tropical Winds is an older hotel, but very well maintained and very clean. The oceanview room was very large, and our view included the ocean and the sunset. The one drawback with the balcony is that the air conditioner from an upper floor room dripped on our railing. The front desk is friendly and prompt. The pool is not large, but it is clean and lounge chairs are plentiful. There's even an indoor pool we discovered on the last day! Overall, very well worth the money.
