“They go out of their way to make you feel at home.”

My wife and I came for a Manheim Steamroller concert ( just across the highway). That night it was snowing and blowing terribly. The hotel manager gave us and a few other guests a ride through the blustery night to the concert. Despite the fact the motel was busy the staff were very professional and pleasant. Overall a great experience and I will stay there again when I am in Brookings. I can recommend them without reservation.

The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. I didn't use the pool, but it looked inviting and was being used by families. I will stay here again.

“A bit too noisy”

The only complaint I have about my stay was the noise heard from the halls in the morning. We arrived to the hotel late and starting at 5:00 a.m. other patrons began leaving their rooms and it woke us up and the noise continued constantly for about an hour. I guess the rooms aren't very well insulated.

We had 2 rooms for 1 night each...we thought the rates were very low, and the service, location, and cleanliness and comfort of the rooms was outstanding...would highly recommend...staff was especially helpful and courteous... overall the experience was much better than expected,and would definitly do it again.

Good breakfast and convenient location. Not fancy, but comfortable and the staff was very friendly.

“Beds more comfortable than home”

Hotel was clean. Beds are some of the most comfortable that we have ever slept in. Breakfast was well stocked and very good. Cereal, muffins, toast, coffee, juice, sweet rolls, and fresh fruit. Location is just minutes from South Dakota State University. Cost is cheaper than most other hotels in area. We will definately stay at this hotel again.

The only problem I had was the poor quality of wireless Internet. If I could connect I could not stay connected for too long. Only 11Mbps connection--very low for a motel full of guests. I complained at the desk and at coporate.

“Reasonable”

I spent the weekend there to do some work. The employees respected the "Do Not Disturbed Sign," and did not bother me at all. When I saw the housecleaning lady in the hallway, she asked me if I needed anything for my room. The room was comfortable, the desk a little small for computer work. Overall, an OK place to stay at.
