“Completely Disgusting and Scary, Not Impressed at all!!!!!”

Arrived and within 2 minutes of entering our room we checked out!! This is the most disgusting hotel I have ever seen. It looks like a very dangerous place and I would never let my children stay in such a place. Pulling up to the hotel we had the worst, most uncomfortable vibe and we are glad we trusted our instincts because it was already the worst experience we have ever encountered. The front desk woman said they were having a biker benefit that day and the resturant was not a biker bar. But with fixed "biker parking only" signs we knew different! I wish I would have read the reviews on this hotel before booking. Howard Johnson should be very ashamed to be associated with this place. We booked this room through Expedia and now are having trouble getting a refund becaused the general manager keeps hanging up on them when they call. We had a scary man with no shoes or shirt peering in our window as soon as we walked in! We didn't even have our bags down when we looked at each other and said "We're not staying here!!" The room smelled horrible and the entire hotel should be shut down!! Be careful, please don't stay here!

“Absolutely horrible”

This hotel was like a bad nightmare. Absolutely unclean, peeling wallpaper, mold/mildew on walls, stains on bed linens, urine smell, fleas even! Cigarette burns everywhere in a non smoking room...We could not wait to get out of there! At one point, there was no hot water. Please, please don't waste your money! We went to the closest store, which was miles away, and bought Lysol because it felt so unclean. Never again!

“The biker bar hotel”

This hotel is geared arround the increadably large biker bar that is just about the same size as the hotel itself. I stayed there one week , would have been alot less if I could have found a better place to st they were all alittle shady , an on atleast 3 of the night there were loud mototrcycle races going on. My room still had trash in it from the people befor me. I was forced to clean up myself. I was luckey that the people befor me weren't messy. My AC didn't really work the beads wern't to bad but they looked pritty worout . It looke like a BikeWeek special type place. So if you're looking for a good BikeWeek hotel then this is your place but if you're looking for a nice place to stay kepp looking sorry

“Its a shame to use the Ho Joes Name”

The room was almost clean.The sheets on the bed had large stains on them.I had to sleep on top of the bed.I left all of my street clothes on.I will not step foot into this place again.

“STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE!”

Upfront desk personnel more interested in the TV program than checking me in-so unprofessional-actually rude. The whole place needs a pressure washing or a washing of any sort. Inside the room-we asked for non-smoking but were given a stale smelling obviously smoking room. The double bed was the pits- sheets pulling off in middle of the night due to no elastic to hold them on -towels the thinnest ever- hard small bed. Definitly stay away from this place. Even the pool was dirty!

“Deland FL turban Inn, never again!”

Filthy rooms. Once we got a look at the room, we went straight away to get disinfectant spray + wipes. We had to clean the entire surface of the room, before unloading our bags. Obviously the vacuum wasn't being worn out, all kinds of food stuff was left on the floor. The room was somewhere between a really bad fraternity house and a condemned gas station. The perimeter of the property has tons of trash, including old tires. Glad I had my shots updated.

“Do NOT stay here!!!”

We were not given the room we booked 3 months in advance. We booked a King room and were given a double room. The desk told us it was up to the manager to assign the rooms. We did not get the room we paid for! The keys didn't work, the door handle was broken, it was extremely difficult to open. The towel rack above the toilet was half out of the wall and they NEVER fixed it and the remote did not work. My husband is blind and the whole experience was terrrible.

this was the absolute worst hotel i have ever stayed at the bathroom was disgusting there were cobwebs in the room the paint was peeling off of the air conditioner every time my two year old would just walk by it there were cigarette butts and garbage everywhere outside i would never stay at another howard johnson again!!!!!!!!!!!!

“Mildew and bare mattresses!! Ewwww!”

This was a horrible place - we didn't even stay there the rooms were so bad. We had two adjoining rooms. The first room we opened the door and the smell of mildew was so strong it made my nose start running and my eyes itching immediately. I thought, OK, we'll ask for a different room and just not have adjoining rooms, let's just put the suitcases in the other room. We opened the door to the second room and the beds weren't even made! There were no linens on the beds at all! They were not apologetic at all when I went back to the front desk and explained the situation. They acted as if we had interrupted their day when they might have to find additional rooms for us. We just left. It wasn't worth it to me to have to deal with such a horrible place.
