Fit our NeedsPosted Aug 6, 2014
Pros: The views of the mountains were spectacular! Pricing was reasonable and location to the quaint village of Canmore was convenient.
Cons: Landscaping could use some attention. The gardens have so much potential. It would be nice to see the pond active with bubbling water of some sort.
Location: Not too far from the Calgary airport. Canmore has many activities. Banff National Park is a comfortable drive, with many other points of interest.
We quite enjoyed our stay at Banff Gate Resort, Dead Man's Flats. The chalets were indeed rustic. I would call them charming.

Nice hotelPosted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: Quiet, calm, chalet is fully equipped, bbq available on chalet's balcony.
Cons: Hot tub outside is not working. A shower on the bathroom upstairs would be a nice improvement. Mattress are good, but could be better.
Location: Amazing. Close to Canmore. Quiet. Amazing views. Far from Grocery.
Excellent location close to Canmore. Chalet is really good, a little bit dated, but it has everything. Clean. Fully equipped.

Wonderful mountain viewsPosted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: The tranquility and peaceful setting
Cons: Bed room curtains a let down since it is daylight until11pm all they were was a voiule type of tatty venetian blinds.
Location: Canmore is the nearest town although the hamlet of Dead Mans flats is at the bottom of the hill. Trail walks in abundance and shopping if you want it
I could never tire of looking at the mountain views. A peaceful site where deer wander when it is quiet. A trail walk took us within minutes of a bear - scat there on the way back but not on the way down! It is not the place to be if you are looking for lots of supervised activities. The drive to \Canmore takes about 10 minutes along the main highway where you can find almost anything you want.

Very nice placePosted Apr 13, 2014
Very nice stay, very friendly staff. My only complaint is that many of the activities in the game/activity room were in poor shape and desperately needing maintenance. Other than that, no complaints.

Wonderful & a perfect getaway!!Posted Jan 13, 2014
Pros: Pretty much everythjng!! We loved our cabin (#43) it was clean, warm and well stocked!
Cons: There could maybe have been a few tea towels, but I could also have brought my own.
Location: Loved loved loved the proximity to banff and Canmore. It was very convenient for groceries and restaurants.
We came for two nights and had such an amazing time that we stayed an extra day! The cabin was wonderful, quiet, very clean (albeit dated) and completely our own. We brought our four little boys and the large entry was perfect for all the snow gear and boots. The living space was so much larger than most hotel suits and the full kitchen made cooking and dishes so manageable for me (the mom). We went sledding right on a hill beside our cabin, had hot chocolate in the gazebo by the hill, enjoyed the pool and all the time we were able to spend together around the fireplace. We will most definitely be coming back. There was no stress about our boys making noise or playing, and all 6 of us were very sad to leave. Most certainly will be recommending this Place to our friends and family.
