“Dead sea R+R”

Very friendly and attentive staff: the receptionist even remembered my first name...impressive in a hotel with over a hundred rooms! Great Breakfast with huge choice. Nice room. Easy access to dead sea (with dead sea mud available for do it yourself spa-treatments), though entering the sea wasa bit rockier then ideal. There are several swimming and paddling pools in the very nicely presented grounds. Would definitely recommend it!

The dinner was pricey (21 JD per person for a average buffet), but otherwise the place is a resort and wonderful place to stay. I wish there were restaurants in the area to pick from other than the hotel dining area.

“Great Staff - let down by their hotel”

This was a disappointing end to a great trip. The staff at the desk and in the rest of the hotel were very friendly and helpful at every encounter... Unfortunately the room, in particular, let them down badly. The attention to detail in cleaning was poor - a full ashtray left on the balcony in our room as an example. Items of furniture fell apart when touched (shower curtain just fell as it was not attached to the wall... two armrests on the chair just fell off)... the room had clearly not had a refurbishment in a number of years and the corrosive atmosphere (salt-laden) was clearly having a detrimental affect (rusty-looking holes in the bathroom walls, mould etc.). Worst of all, the room was infested with mosquitoes - I am still suffering from at least 30 bites - and the lack of sleep one experiences when dive-bombed by mosquitoes for half the night... Given there is a choice, for the price I'd definitely stay elsewhere.
