Lovely hotelPosted Nov 25, 2013
Pros: Everything. Spacious rooms. WOnderful pools - one of which is heated. Lovely beach. Great facilities. Good food and wonderful staff.
I wanted a short break in the sun and so decided to return to the Holiday Inn Resort in the Dead Sea. It was as good as I remember my first visit!

Good choice for dead sea but not for exhibitions.Posted Nov 14, 2013
Pros: Good concept with 2 floor buldings with door to garden. They have a small beach where you can have sludge treatment and swim at %30 salty dead sea
Cons: The open buffet lunch or dinner costs 40$ and a hamburger menu is about 18$ Try to get all inclusive offer. Too much mosquito in open areas.
Location: If you come for an exhibition or conference, the taxi costs around 15$ for a 3km trip to convention center.
The hotel is laid over a big area nearby the dead sea. They have several good pools for adults and kids and several restaturants.

Nice hotel with excellent facilities!Posted Sep 24, 2013
Pros: Property and facilities are excellent!
Cons: Language, please!!!!!!!
Location: I guess if you decide to stay in Dead Sea, you can't walk around except you have car! Stay in and just relax!
Everything is great, except the staffs outside the front desks. English will be a barrier to communicate. I been told from the life guard; no speedo on swimming pool but I saw one Arabic woman on swimming pool wearing short and thin/see through T-shirt swimming and when she off the pool, you can see everything-:) Foods was good and I really commanded to everyone. This HI is not any other HI anywhere else!

Decent value but we'll try elsewhere next timePosted Sep 2, 2013
Cons: Housekeeping service could be improved
We checked in before dinner and confirmed at the front desk that we needed the sofa bed setup for our son to sleep in. After dinner the sofa bed still was not setup and we had to call housekeeping to set it up. And he didn't bring a pillow for the sofa bed. And we had not been given hand towels in the bathroom. We had to call more than once for the hand towels and they finally appeared the next morning. That said, there are really nice staff at the hotel, including the Filipino serving staff, a clerk at the front desk who apologized for the rudeness of 2 other guests, and the valets, including one gentleman who took our kids on a ride around the premises on the courtesy golf cart.

front desk manager ruined my stayPosted Aug 2, 2013
Pros: Room was by the childrens pool.
Cons: Front desk manager
The front desk manager, mohammed is extremely rude and arrogant . He is also very unhelpful. I asked him to help me with an issue which he refused. The restaurant staff are very helpful its just a shame that the actual restaurant is in a inconvenient place and small. We were encouraged to eat outside which is fine if you enjoy insects and stray cats all over your food. There was some work in the pool areas so not all the pools were working. Lifeguards are not visible or active, therefore if you have young children please be careful. The location of the hotel is by the dead sea but there is nothing around the hotel. It is very isolated so ensure that you bring with you all you need. The hotel itself is very expensive in terms of buying food and drinks.

A real experiancePosted Jul 23, 2013
Pros: The pools
Location: Isolated but nice by the Dead sea
Nice pools, food in restaurants expensive. Concierge did not have advice for routes (driving) or places of interest, otherwise staff did their best to help

Worth a short stayPosted Jul 20, 2013
Location: Private beach to the Dead sea where could have the mud bath and swim. Located near to the north of the sea with John the Baptistes Baptism site.
The hotel was relaxing, comfortable, with good swimming pools although these were overcrowded on the weekend. During the day the pool nearest the sea was open and this shut at 4 pm each day just when the weekend crowds came. The staff were helpful though patronising. The room was not cleaned to the standard that we expected with long red hair present on both days around the bathroom. We were too tired to complain when we first arrived. The souvenir shop was supposed to be open but excuses that it would be open in half an hour but never was open when we did return. It was cheaper than the other big Dead Sea resorts so most of this could be tolerated for a couple of days but would have been fed up if we were there for more than the 2 days.

Lovely hotel - great views and access to dead seaPosted Jun 30, 2013
Pros: View of dead sea
Cons: noise from live music
Lovely view in front of hotel overlooking dead sea. Nice pool. Nice private beach to dead sea. Great service from one lady of staff on a day when we missed the breakfast times when she wasnt required to provide. Good help booking taxis also. Only one bad thing was the noise from the live music that went passed 12pm which might be concerning for people with families.

Last "resort" in case of no other optionsPosted May 31, 2013
Pros: nothing really
Cons: The horrible music played everywhere, which looped every 30 minutes. They never changed the playlist.Music should be relaxing at such a resort.
Location: Right on the dead sea
This hotel is a last resort, in case you really want to visit the dead sea and have no other choice and absolutely need the "5 star" safety-though it is far from 5 stars. The food was below average for a 5 star hotel and the quantity in alcoholic drinks was a joke vis a vis the prices. Regular rooms are small, no bathrobes, no balcony, etc. Compared to other options on the dead sea, Jordan, the Holiday Inn is really not 5-stars. Breakfast buffet was varied, however no champagne is served nor sparkling water, while at the kempinskt ishtar, you get those offered. For a lower price, you can get a better deal at other 5-star hotels in the area.

Great PlacePosted May 27, 2013
Pros: There are many swimming pools which is nice, you dont have to walk too much to get to the beach unlike other resorts, staff are friendly.
Cons: At check in, they should provide us with a card that has guidelines, for e.g the internet doesnt need a password and its free, the minibar is free
Their food looks fancy but tastes average, we booked a single bed online but they provided us with a double bed.
