“Simple but pleasant”
The hotel staff were pleasant, the rooms were simple but nice. The trolly will take you down town so you can leave your vehicle parked.
“Only positive was the trolley”
For the money I paid for this hotel I should have stayed somewhere else. I chose the BH Inn and Suites because it was something different. However, the different I got was not good at all. Upon arriving, the office was closed and our key, house key mind you, was sitting on the front desk with our name. I guess thats a benefit so we could stay at the hotel, but there was no posted check-in time. We had difficulty getting the door open and once in our room, the wall fixtures were all crooked and the shower was barely big enough to wash in. The room itself was the size of a small bedroom. There is absolutely no room ammenities that a comparatively priced hotel offers such as a in-room coffee pot or plastic water glasses. The continental breakfast that was advertised consists of one pot of coffee and a sack of bagels left on a counter in the lobby. The windows didn't shut properly and the walls were paper thin. I could hear every whispered word along with every screaming child at 6 am. The pool opens at 10 am and check out is at 11, so not much time for a one-night stay to swim. The hotel is quite a long ways out of Deadwood/Lead which was not a big deal though as the trolley makes hourly stops out there and downtown. That was the only blessing. Next time I will definitely choose a hotel downtown as the price would be similar and the condition of the hotels are definitely better downtown, as I have stayed there many times before.
“It was only one night”
Everything about this place was okay, but there was nothing special about. It wasn't a room where I would have wanted to spend a lot of time, but it was fine for one night.
“when we visit again, we will book it at Black Hills INN & suuites!”
When we arrived we were greated by several deer on the "hill" behind the hotel. The staff were very accomodating. The hotel was on the trolley line, so we were able to enjoy our time in Deadwood! The Florida Girls would stay again!
“"Rustic" hotel in a nice geographical area.”
The hotel is in a nice area, ie. wilderness, and running stream right outside of the hotel. It is older and small, but is clean.
