Not the worst, barely

Posted Jul 22, 2015
We were checked into a smoking room, we were told this was because we booked through Expedia, I thought it odd to be honest. The room smelled awful, as you could imagine. The receptionist said they would put an ionizer in the room while we were out but that didn't happen. We had to ask three times to have our room cleaned, they half cleaned the room and didn't leave any coffee for coffee maker. The casino on site has very inexperienced craps dealer crews so be sure to watch whatvyouvare paid for wins and make sure your bets are placed correctly by the stick man/woman. Over all the place could use a freshen up and a little TLC.

Not bad but could be better.

Pros: It has little bit of everything. The rooms are very nice.
Cons: More dining options needed. At least keep the café opened later. Allow kids to be in the pool after 10PM if a parent is present.
Location: The hotel is very nice and the people are friendly. Location is OK. Kind of hike to get to the downtown area. Deadwood has lots of fun stuff.
Arrived in the evening after a long drive. The kids had very little pool (note that the pool is next door and not actually in Cadillac Jacks) time because they don't allow kids after 10PM. The adults that were there after 10PM for the "adults only time" all sat in the jacuzzi and did not even go in the pool. Headed to the café only to find it had closed at 10PM. No other food options available. The room was comfy and roomy which was nice. The machines are very tight. Did not get to play much on the $. The staff is very friendly. Had bfast in the café the next morning and the food was pretty good and not a bad price either. The location is kind of down the street from the downtown area but if you are ok with walking it is doable.

Excellent Staff

Pros: Location, the room.
Location: Right on the edge of Downtown Deadwood, a mile from Lead and the Gold Mines.
When I got to Cadillac Jack's, I was informed that I had booked 2 rooms instead of one due to some input error by Expedia. The Hotel Desk Manager was extremely helpful and competent. She took total charge of the problem and got it corrected with very little done on my part. She and the rest of her staff were very courteous and professional. Our room was just what we wanted and we had a very pleasant stay. One warning - the slots don't pay as well as they do in Vegas!

Not what i expected

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: Not much, I was not aware that Cadillac Jacks is two hotels in one complex, therefore the online version is not as nice as the other side.
Cons: Let people know up front what they are getting. I realize that this in the heart if a tourist type area, too expensive in peak season.
Location: Black Hills
Been to Deadwood many times in the past. Thought Cadillac Jacks was more upscale than it really is, stayed at other hotels in this area, just as good as this for less money.
