Very nice hotel, with a great location.Posted Apr 19, 2015
The room here was very clean and functional. It was a bit small, but plenty big enough for just spending the night. The continental breakfast was one of the best we've had in a chain hotel....fresh baked cinnamon rolls, boiled eggs, waffles. Of course, the other breakfast staples were also available. I liked it that there were glass mugs for the coffee and not Styrofoam cups! The local trolley stops right in front of the hotel, so we could get on it and go into town rather than driving in and trying to find parking. The hotel is far enough from downtown that you don't have all the street noise. The gal at the front desk was super friendly and very helpful! We will definitely stay here the next time we go to Deadwood!

Pros: The hotel was clean and the staff were excellent with recommendations on places to eat, The breakfast was well stocked and clean
Cons: Better ingredients for their pizza place, the pizza's had a blah taste.
Location: Good location to downtown Deadwood, the trolley stops right at the hotel so you don't have to drive
The staff was very friendly and helpful since it was our first visit to Deadwood, explained the trolley schedules. All areas of the hotel were clean and well maintained. When we visit again this will be our first choice of hotels to stay at!!

At the edge of Deadwood.Posted Sep 30, 2014
It offered a good rate for the tourist town of Deadwood. It is at the far edge of Deadwood. Decent accommodations at a good rate. Only negatives were that the breakfast room was small and lots of smokers in this town. Also, small fruit flies (?) were in our room. Wasn't sure if they were present because of the hotel location next to the river. The fairly large gap around the hotel room door probably did not help.
