“Best continental breakfast we had on our entire trip!”
We were very happy with the room & especially with the complimentary continental breakfast. It was a treat to have fresh fruit available too.
“Hotel setup”
We really liked the setup of the hotel with the pool in the center. The pool depth and size was absolutely great.
“Nice stay”
I had booked a non-smoking room, and was given a smoking room, luckily they had one non-smoking room left. Took some pleading with the night clerk to do that, but it was not an option the smoking room was definalty that!! It was a nice stay and the hotel staff was nice. I would stay here again. It is amazing the difference in the air quality of the two types of rooms!!
“Would stay here again”
Our first visit to South Dakota, we stayed at various places from a pricey lodge to here to see what the best deal for our dollar would be for next visit. Super 8 gave us more amenities than the high priced lodge. Room includes coffee maker, cable TV, microwave and small fridge, which was more than we had at the the more pricey lodge. Close to everything including Spearfish Canyon. Not much for views, but was still worth the price.
“will stay on third floor next time”
Our room was on the first floor, so we had pool noise and heard people dragging their luggage down the stairs and walking above us. Very hard to sleep in. Breakfast was wonderful and staff was very friendly--except cleaning people. They smoked in front of the entrance, so very unprofessional.

Great service! Hotel great for the price and very clean. Stayed there on the way to Yellowstone & the way back!

Nice hotel for the money. It's a little hard to find as it's not readily visible from the highway. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Our stay at Super 8 Spearfish was everything you would expect from a well-run motel. The room, facilities, and free breakfast were adequate. Who stays in their room when visiting such a beautiful area?

Great motel for an overnight stay, pool & hot tub were better than most high end motels. Continential breakfast was very good.
