Quieter end of Deadwood so a lovely experience

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: The cleanliness of the rooms and the efficiency of the housekeeping staff - nothing was too much trouble for them - also breakfast staff were brill
Cons: Reception staff attitude - most of the time they really couldn't be bothered - or at least thats the impression they gave
Location: Experience Deadwood life and the surrounding area - scenery to die for and Mount Rushmore was within easy driving distance
The hotel, whilst very clean and comfortable, is in need of some redecoration. Whilst we were there the restaurant was being re-modelled and therefore the facilities for eating there were very basic. Having said that the breakfast was excellent! The cleaning team were amazing, but that did not apply to the reception staff! Whilst not overly rude , they were certainly not overly welcome either!

Historic hotel, perfect position.

Posted Jun 27, 2014
Pros: The Hotel does not look appealing from the car park at the rear but is amazing inside and situated right in the middle of Main Street.
Location: Eat at the Social Club above the Number 10 Saloon, Food amazing and great value!
We stayed here while on a trip from Rapid City to Seattle. Very close to Mount Rushmore which we visited on the way from Rapid City airport. The Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great location

Posted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: Location. We were able to park the car, and walk where ever we wanted to go in Deadwood. Staff was very nice and helpful.
Cons: No ice machine available. Had to get ice from the front desk.
Location: Deadwood is full of casinos, restaurants, bars, etc. We enjoy the Crow Peek brewery in Spearfish, which is only a short 30 minute drive.
We stayed at the Bullock over President's Day weekend, from Friday until Monday. We chose the Bullock because of it's downtown location, as well as the price. My boyfriend and I stayed in a standard, one bed room. The room was small, but clean and served it's purpose. We were only in the room for sleeping, showering, and getting ready to move on to the next place. The hotel is a historic hotel, so was decorated as so. We thought that was charming and liked the novelty of it all. We did not make it to the restaurant, however there is one available for breakfast and lunch.

Great Stay

Posted Aug 26, 2013
We had a very nice stay on Aug.20th. I loved the beautiful antique atmosphere. The staff was very helpful and attentive. We stayed in room 207 but had no visits from the other side. We did hope to have an experience but it was not meant to be. The room was huge and the beds were comfortable. We would be happy to stay again another time.

Deadwood Trip

Posted Aug 20, 2013
Pros: The staff! They were great!
Cons: Nothing
Location: We went to see Seth Bullock's gravesite. It was quite a hike, but worth it!!
My husband and I had a great stay at the Bullock Hotel. When we first arrived, we were surprised at how small our room was, but then we decided to take the Ghost Tour where the guide told us that the rooms used to be bigger "back in the day", but they also didn't have bathrooms in them. It went from a hotel with 60 some rooms down to 20 some rooms so each room had a bathroom. The staff was VERY friendly! My favorite was John in the restaurant!! He has the best personality!!!
