"Unexpected nice Hotel"
It was unexpected getting into a Casino and walk through it to go to the hotel. It was fun. The restaurant closes at 10 pm, since we arrived at 9:30 we couldn't had dinner there. The bar is open 'till midnight and they offer a delicious buffalo chicken salad, small beef pieces as an entree, among other things. The hotel had charged an extra fee, tourist fee, but we didn't agree, so they took it off. Personal staff very friendly

"Nice hotel in the heart of Deadwood"
The staff were helpful and the breakfast was good to help you start your day without having to look for a place to eat. Surprisingly enough the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious bright and clean. Great location as it was in the middle of the main street with all the attractions. We could gamble to our hearts content within walking distance of many different casinos as well as a plethora of shops. One of the tour bus stations was right outside the front door. PS : Take at least one of the tour bus rides. They take you past all the historic sites with narration, it only takes an hour, and then you can decide which sites you would like to explore in more depth.

"Nice hotel"
Our hotel room was clean and very nice, we were overlooking a busy street but didn't seem to bother us when we were sleeping. Small pool area, but this is Deadwood so I can't imagine very many people using it. Take elevator as stairs don't go all the way to the basement and you have to go into the casino. The restaurant was very expensive for a buffet and not much of a selection for dinner. The food that was there was okay. Parking was a joke!

"Wonderful hotel"
My family of 4 (2 small children) stayed in a King suite. The hotel is modern and very attractive. It is in a fun location, since it is attached to Cadillac Jack's Guests are given $15 to use. The pool area is the best I have ever experienced! The water is color-changing (and comfortably warm). The breakfast is top-notch, with multiple choices.

Those looking for commercial flights to Deadwood will have to make plans to arrive and depart from Rapid City, South Dakota, which is 54 miles from downtown Deadwood. Car rentals are available in either Rapid City or in Deadwood through Expedia.com. Many people who have booked rooms in a Deadwood hotel choose to find a car rental in Rapid City and drive to their destination.

Because Deadwood is a walkable city, most available lodging is near the best restaurants, bars, and casinos. Frontier flavor abounds in Deadwood, and the entire town is a Registered National Historic Landmark. However, travelers aren't expected to do without modern amenities - unless they so desire. Visitors can easily get around the city by riding the colorful, historic trolleys, or by walking.

Although most travelers choose to experience Deadwood during the summer months, winter sports aficionados frequently visit the two ski areas situated near the town. Other winter activities include the ISOC SnoCross Deadwood Shootout that takes place in February, where top snowmobile racers from all over the world compete in events broadcasted by the CBS Sports Network.

Those looking for deals on Deadwood hotel rooms should probably plan on visiting in January or in the early spring. The community won't be so crowded with tourists during those times, but the frontier experience will still be fully available.
