If 0 stars was an option, that's still not low enough. The front desk was pleasant and that's the only redeeming quality. The room was DISGUSTING, there were stink bugs everywhere, there was blood in the bathroom, bloody boogers on the walls, the sheets on the beds were dirty and had hair on them, the room absolutely wreaked of cigarette smoke. There was one towel in the room for four people. When we requested more towels, we were given towels with stains all over them. There was no remote for the TV, there were dead bugs in the bathroom all over the floor, the toilet seat was broken. We had no choice but to stay because there were no other hotels within 50 miles with availability. We left a day early because of how awful the room smelled. Clothes that were left in a closed bag smell like cigarettes, absolutely disgusting.

The room was dirty and stained towels were put in our bathroom to use. Door wasn't secure and un even. The bottom of the door was not an even level. Paint falling off walls, stain on the ceiling, air conditioner needed new filter, pictures on the website didn't look like our room at all. Everything but the mirror was way outdate.

This place needs to be updated. Cigarette burns on bathtub and blanket. Small room. Room A/C barely adequate to heat room. Evrything was shopworn. Smelled of cigarettes.

My room didn’t have a smoke detector, it was torn off. The dead bolt was broken, I was at the very end of the hall but there was some strange noise in the wall above my bed the entire time, I would not stay here again.

Very loud at night nobody cared
Main problem we had other people that was staying there was very loud and rude called up to the front desk and nobody answered I wouldn't recommend to other people if they want sleep if people like to stay up all night that's the hotel to stay at I told the front desk and all they said was that it's a hotel I hope u treat ur other customers better than what u did us will b staying somewhere else whenever we come up to visit again

Last time I was here was 4 years ago and boy has it taken a HUGE dive. Reserved a non-smoking room and they gave us a smoking room that reeked so bad you could barely breathe and when I went and told them this wasn't what I reserved they said they couldn't change the room and had nothing available ( I reserved it 2 weeks ago!) They "claimed that all rooms default to smoking rooms when you reserve (baloney), the room was a wreck. Burnt holes in the bedspread and blankets, heavy urine smell, heavy smoking smell, dirty towels that hadn't been changed ( one was even still wet!!!) the rug in front of the sink was soaking wet ( not sure why), The AC didn't work, The sheets weren't clean , the TV had to be manually turned on and off, the remote was someone's ( who worked there) personal remote and you had to hold the battery in with your finger to make it work but the arrow buttons worked oddly ( up and down made the curser go sideways...), the dresser had a knob broken off and sticky red stuff on top of it, The hallway had dirt and debris on it and didn't look like it had been vacuumed in a while, and It was suppose to be breakfast included but there was no breakfast or even juice available (the person on staff said he wasn't given the the ok to put anything out and that there wasn't anything to put out, they had two tables against the wall but only one chair and he said there were no other chairs.This place was so incredibly disgusting and filthy health dept should be called

Room and lobby smells like an ashtray. Black mold on the bathroom ceiling. Shower for a midget and water valve knob was broken and wouldn’t stay on. Pillows old and lumpy. The mattress was old and broke down. Best price in town.

We choose this motel based on it advertising free breakfast, which they did not have. The room was relatively clean, but it's an older motel and there were several large holes in the wall and the floor needed vacuuming. The door had no safety chain and the deadbolt wouldn't work properly. The desk clerk was friendly and helpful, but the property is dilapidated.

I stayed one night at American’s Best Value Inn. This is a “value” stay, for sure, and if you’re looking for a clean bed to sleep in, this will hit the mark. I would bring my own pillow next time, but the bed sheets were very nice and clean (pillow cases too). The towels also smelled fresh and clean. The rooms are not kept up well at all. Nothing matched, drawers did not open smoothly, the caulking around fixtures was old, and it just didn’t look nice. The A/C worked well, however. My room had a toilet that was very small and low to the ground. The shower head came up to my neck, and I’m short. The water pressure was very good, however. The drapes were worn out, as was the screen on my window. The drapes let in a little bit of light in the morning, but nothing a normal person would complain about. They need replacing, though. Again, the upkeep of the room is just not very good. Lastly, the whole building smells of a strong cigarette smoke smell. Walking into the room, however, it smelled much fresher, but after a few minutes I could start to smell a lingering smoke odor. I’m stubborn, so it didn’t deter me from staying there. Breakfast is NOT served here, as advertised. It was the thing I was actually most disappointed about. When I asked the concierge about it, I got a funny look like. An “oh no, not here!” kind of look. Management should consider revising their advertisement.

A few hours into my stay, the desk clerk opened my door and almost walked in on me and my guest! Wow. She just let herself in. No dead bolts at this location. Smoking rooms only. Will never stay again. Privacy totally compromised.
