Charming, comfortable hotel, with friendly staff and spacious rooms. Definitely a nice change from the standard, modern hotels. It was fun to stay in a place that had modern amenities but so much history.

Beautifully renovated historic hotel with large rooms and modern amenities. It was clean and comfortable. The jars of ground coffee specially made for the Windsor were a special treat. We enjoyed a fine dinner in the restaurant one night and take out from the 1874 Food Truck on the property. Parking was easy and staff were always helpful. I recommend staying here!

Beautiful historic property in charming little town of Del Norte. The room was comfortable and beautifully appointed, the decor was sympathetic to the age and history of the building. Check in and out was super easy and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. We were really impressed by how clean & quiet the hotel was despite there being an event on downstairs when we arrived. Super impressed and can’t wait to tell our friends and family about this hidden gem in Colorado.

Unfortunately our room was over the bar so not too quiet until late. It is a well-kept 1874 hotel however!

Very cute place, nice clean rooms. Only complaint is the mattresses are not very comfortable. They might be as historic as the hotel is :) the place is very nice and comfortable otherwise. Would definitely stay again.

An incredible walk back in time. The Windsor Hotel makes you feel like you are staying in a vintage old western hotel but with modern amenities. The staff was very knowledgeable and pleasant. The bed was comfortable and the room was very quiet. Worth a trip through Del Norte just to stay here.

An unexpected delight
Many upgrades, like elevator and keyless entry make the stay comfortable along with a great shower and comfortable bed.The front desk was very helpful in explaining about the oldest hotel in Colorado and also making recommendations for dinner and breakfast. The dining room is only open a few days a week but there are good choices in town. All rooms are on 2nd floor.

Had the potential to be great, but fell short
The good: Beautiful spacious room and friendly front desk staff. The bad: Boiler was not working properly so guests had no hot water for showers. The hotel did not offer any discount for that major deficiency. Our room along main street was very noisy with a lot of truck traffic. It was also located above the main entry door which sounded like it was being slammed every time it closed. With better maintenance of the mechanicals such as the boiler and main door closing mechanism, this would be a great hotel.

Wonderful historic hotel beautifully restored. Rooms were very comfortable & large. Everyone who worked there was very nice and helpful. Restaurant was excellent and Wednesdays were half price bottles of wine. Delicious!

Uniqueness and relaxing
Cleanliness and staff of this hotel is outstanding! The history of this most unique hotel and its history of restoration is fascinating as well. Its inhouse restaurant is a must to dine in. The service and cuisine is remarkable as well, with most of the food provided is raised or grown within this valley region. Menu items are pricey but we never have any regrets from dining at this hotel. This was our fifth time to stay at the Windsor Hotel.

Last minute stop
We booked super last minute as we were driving through the area and it was getting late and we weren’t going to make our original destination. I hadn’t noticed check in was 3-8, the manager called me within 39 minutes of making the reservation and asked when we’d be arriving and made sure we had all the information we needed for a late arrival. Our room was clean and comfortable and hotel was very quiet. Poked around town the next day, which was really cute, everyone was super friendly. Wouldn’t hesitate to stop here again if we’re in the area.

Amazing Restoration and Customer Service
The Windsor is an historic renovated hotel and they did an incredible job. It was clean and very comfortable. The room was very spacious with high end touches, the beds comfortable, and the climate control excellent. We ate at the restaurant downstairs for dinner and it was amazing. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend staying here

An 1874 hotel refurbished for the modern era. Lovely town, lovely people, live band in the courtyard. A very unexpected find. This hotel has loads of personality and charm with high ceilings and a respect for the original architecture and design.
