“Best 24 hours we had in India”

An aosis of peace and cleaness in extremely dirty Delhi. It was so relaxing that we did not want to leave the hotel even for dinner. Those were the best 24 hours we spent in India.

“Good time in Delhi”

This is a wonderfully run hotel. It is beautifully located between major shopping centers which have an abundance of restaurants and food courts. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. The breakfast buffet has a large number of options and a waitstaff that is anxious to bring you additional items. In the midst of a city that can be a bit chaotic, this is an oasis of calm.

“Up to standard”

Of the seven hotels I stayed in on our three week trip to India, this was one of the best but it was also the most expensive. It meets western and quality Far East (Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong 4* - 5*) standards for cleanliness and prompt service. The malls it is attached to are convenient if not representative of the "real" India - more a rich mans playground with prices more akin to Europe than India. Outside, the complex has attrocious roads and a stink of bad drains with the look of a rubbish tip - much more representative of the real India. It is not too far from the centre or the airport - but if getting a taxi from the airport be advised - they don't know where this place is. The hotel should supply a free shuttle but as this would cut into their exhorbitant profit margins, they don't. Do not rent cars or guides through the concierge. The hotel charges double the amount charged by TUI in the mall. Surprisingly, room service meals were quite reasonably priced and the quality of the food - both western and Indian - was excellent. They also supply copious amounts of complimentary bottled water which is a nice touch.

Our first hotel selected in New Delhi did not meet our expectations. Contacted Expedia and selected Hilton Garden Inn and were 110% please with everthing from the hotel.... Hilton Rock.....

“Hilton Garden Inn”

The hotel was clean and comfortable with very friendly and helpful staff. The location was ideal for us as we were looking for somewhere near the airport so we could catch an early flight, although it's quite far from the sightseeing areas in the centre. There was a large shopping mall next door witha selection of restaurants, and the in-house restaurant also had a good choice of western and indian food. Overall a good hotel for those who don't need to be in the city centre.

We arrived at 5.30am after a long train journey. We rested and had breakfast in a superb lounge area and was shown to our room at 8am despite check on time being 12 noon. The staff were very accommodating. Excellent facilities including shopping, eating and drinking adjoin the hotel.
