centre of New Delhi and close to Connaught CircusPosted Feb 26, 2014
Pros: tee and coffee can be prepared in the room. Money change rate is better than in the airport. Absolutely quiet but and due to the windowless rooms.
A polite and courteous staff accompanies. The hotel provides all needed facilities for a short stay of 4 days.

Darn good locationPosted Dec 27, 2012
Pros: Clean bathrooms
Cons: Breakfast is later, about 8:30 AM
Location: Darn good location, near the main metro hub of Delhi, don't be surprised by the "war zone" appearance of the neighborhood, that's India.
Darn good location, hallways have that unique India scent, bed and bath were clean, no mosquito problem. We slept, saw Delhi, slept again, checked out, all at the agreed price :) Don't be shocked by the "war zone" appearance of the Circle (Circus), that's India.

DisappointingPosted Dec 19, 2012
Pros: Good location near metro, CP
Good location. I arrived early but was still able to access room. Great linen, pilows. No windows, odour, dark throughout including breakfast area. One breakfast was enough. Worse hotel stay in 3 weeks although most expensive by double.

Hotel Alka, clean and comforable for Delhi touringPosted Feb 16, 2012 on Hotels.com
The hotel was clean and comfortable for a February 3-day stay. It was convenient to governmental, historical and cultural attactions - our main interests - with short taxi or rickshaw trips. Is 40 minutes from Indira Ghandi Int'l Airport. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Restaurant on site and room service were good. Breakfast buffet food was good, although a little limited in variety. An ideal hotel choice for people constantly on the go touring Delhi. Not luxurious but comfortable and economical. (We are retired and in mid-sixties.)
