Hôtel bien situé

Hôtel bien situé et correct. Problème de propreté dans la chambre. Il serait bon de mettre du produit anti-moustiques. Petit déjeuner décevant.

Pros: The best thing about the hotel is the staff. Renku in the upstairs restaurant and Nettan and Arman in the Café Brownie. All have great personalities.
Cons: Kenny G must be put to rest or at least given a break or some fellow musicians. He has played enough on his own.
Location: The hotel is only a few blocks from the trains station and a 15 minute walk will take you to the main shopping area.
I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times. It is very close to the train station and the rooms and facilities are nice. They have a good buffet breakfast and the items served change daily. The rooms are large enough and very modern and clean. What makes this hotel better than average is the staff. In the restaurant upstairs Renku is one of the waiters and takes really good care of you. I like ice in my drinks (not usual for India) and when I arrived after being gone for four months, Renku was at the table with a glass full of ice before I could settle in my seat. In the Café Brownie off the lobby, the two guys, Netten (the taller) and Arman (the shorter) appear really glad to see you. They also remembered the ice without being told. They chat with you as well as they can with their level of English and Netten will come to your table and do card tricks. The main drawback to this hotel is Kenny G. They play the Breathless CD for about 14 hours a day, no pause and nothing in between. I stayed there four months apart and Kenny said farewell and greeted me every time entered the building. Turn off your TV and Kenny will play you to sleep. The owner of the hotel must own Kenny G stock. I mentioned the constant Kenny G at the desk and they said they had stopped hearing it at all a long time ago.

Stay 1 night, long enough for delhi. The hotel was clean, under the bed had never been cleaned.. The showers didn't fully work As there was not enough pressure.. Light globe was hanging out of the roof.. Restaurant on the roof was good.. Exchanged money at a fair rate

Good amenities, poor service

Posted Aug 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
This is a good western style hotel right close to the railway station. All of the amenities in the hotel are fairly western style and upscale. In fact it is really a good value for money. However, the staff is slow and sometimes unprofessional. Their most ridiculous thing is their WiFi. It seems to drop you every couple of hours or so, and then you again have to go and ask for a password to get online. Again to give example of their unprofessionalism, they would say that they were going to send someone to the room with a password, but it would not arrive. You call again and again, and finally they will ask you to come down to the lobby and get it. Despite in a crowded street and a little bit not-so-nice outside location, the inside is really good.

The (not so) Grand Godwin

Posted Aug 4, 2014 on Hotels.com
Average hotel that is nice and close to the New Delhi Train Station. Rooms are decent sizes and clean (well clean enough). Reception staff are VERY unhelpful and rude! (Everything was too much trouble for them). Don't think I would stay here again. I think there are a lot of hotels in the same price bracket that would be much better value

Fair is fair

In a fair and honest review I was happy at this hotel and it provided a comfortable stay for 2 nights. A bonus is the 24 hour food service when arriving on a late flight, it is clean and well kept. Which I can't say for Delhi city itself!!! The rooms are of a good size with great internet access, TV and a great shower. I recommend treating yourself to a brownie and coffee from the coffee shop as a nice treat after walking round Delhi all day.... Or before perhaps to prepare yourself for it!!Housekeeping staff seem to knock at 11pm and 7am to restock a mini bar... And for sown thing I didn't care for as they were promptly ignored. Most surprising they still knock when the "Do not disturb" light is lit and very clearly inappropriate times to knock...! The bell boy is kind, honest and helpful with bags or directions, The restaurant server is also efficient and likes to recommend accompanying dishes which go well. Managers are sometimes slightly off point when dealing with reception, phones and in restaurant but their staff more than make up for if. I ate morning and evening meals in hotel as I couldn't face more of Delhi whilst I was there! . Avoid tuk tuk and rickshaw drivers like a plaque.. I didn't get a single honest one and truly ruined some amazing experiences. Hotel will book a taxi if asked which I'd advise if you don't want to deal with the inane drivers! Or go by metro is fine an east as well as very cheap! Enjoy Delhi! Make it a pit stop city and not a vacation city!

Pros: Rooms and ambiance is good

Hotel staff is impolite and useless, Right from front desk till the managing staff. If you want to get insulted then visit this hotel.
