Good value for money

Posted Apr 26, 2014
Pros: Clean rooms
Cons: Restaurant and food. Quality of travel advice.
Location: Excellent location very close to the station and to Connaught place.
Staff were helpful and the rooms clean. One room we stayed in had no windows which lead to a feeling of claustrophobia. The rooftop restaurant had an unfinished feel and was not clean. The advice given on travel was incorrect and the commission charged for a rail ticket was very high. Far better to arrange rail travel at the nearby station.

Mixed bag

Pros: The rooms were large
Cons: Better training of staff in the small details in providing good service
Location: Location is good near New Delhi train station and very near CP
Stayed here on three different dates in March & April rooms first two times nice and spacious the last date tried putting me in a small room next to the retaurant when I complained was moved to a better room. The plus side is hot water rooms a reasonably clean could do with a restaurant but plenty of places to eat nearby. Staff could be better trained as they don't wear name tags it's hard to know who you spoke to as they don't identify them selves when you speak to anybody if you have a problem everybody denies everything . Things like hand towels were not provided you have to request them no check list in place. Overall I would stay here again as the price paid and service rendered was ok for a budged accommodation.

Not for women and children. No housekeeping, staff

Posted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: You get your own room, that has no bugs(may change depending on which room in the hotel you get)
Cons: The biggest problem is the staff service. the quality of the maintenance, and of course lack of hot water most of the time. Extremely slow wifi
Location: Sleazy red light district, very bad neighborhood. no good transport, except 50 INR autorickshaw to Connaught Place. Wouldnt walk there at night
I booked this place for three days and extended by another day. The first thing I noticed about the place was that it was in a sleazy redlight district area full of peddlers, wallahs and beggars, as well as stray dogs. There was no good way to get around from there, besides rickshaw wallahs who constantly try to hassle you and rip you off. The staff at the lobby were marginally friendly, but once you check in you are pretty much invisible, except for the guide working for tourist counter who constantly harasses you to sign up for some travel deal. You can book tours and train trips much cheaper than the rate he offers. I suppose its normal to be charged extra if you go through them, and that may be ok for some travelers. But the guy kept pestering me trying to learn about my travel plans and trying to get me to sign up for tours/tickets through him. The rest of staff, esp housekeeping dont care. Of course, theres no room service and they dont make your bed or empty trash during your stay. I traveled to many developing countries, including Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand but this lack of housekeeping was a first for me. Now the room has no windows, its dinky and air is damp. The only pro is the privacy of your own room. And when i extended my room for another day(due to unfortunate circumstance) they got their receipt but at checkout they demanded my copy for their record. and when i passed it to him he threw it into trash can. he was trying to charge me twice!

we are sorry to hear that your stay was not a pleasant one and we apologise for the inconvenience that is under our control and could have been avoided but as for the safety portion, let us assure you that our hotel over the period have lots of solo female travellers and they have never found it uncomfortable at the place. But yes there are certain external factors like narrow streets and the traffic but please do not let that hamper the impression of our services and as far as the lacking in services that you pointed have been noted and we are looking into the same . We appreciate your time in reviewing us

Good hotel in poor location

Posted Feb 3, 2014 on Hotels.com
Booked online and received a shock on reaching Paharganj, the place where the hotel is located. The place is dirty, overcrowded and felt unsafe. So we checked out immediately and found a hotel in Karolbagh (the next suburb) which was a bit better. The hotel itself is quite okay for the price, but we found the location to be very intimidating.

we understand that the location can be a bit intimidating at first but most of the time its the convenience of the place that attracts the guests to our place being near to all the major landmarks and metro trains and even the shopping areas and whole of pubs and cafes nearby But still we are sorry to learn that you could not stay with us about we appreciate your time and effort in putting a review for us. Hope that you would give us another chance of service,

Good value, comfortable and clean

Posted Jan 26, 2014
Pros: We liked the clean, comfortable and spacious room in which the toilet flushed and there was hot water - everything worked!
Cons: Nothing needs to be improved, especially at this middle $ range.
Location: We did not have time to explore, as we had to arrange train tickets, etc. Connaught Place is close and that was helpful.
My travelling friend and I stayed for 2 nights when we first arrived in Delhi. The Krishna Deluxe is convenient and comfortable. All things promised such as hot water and tea/coffee with kettle and functioning TV were supplied. The room was spacious and clean, with comfortable beds. The hotel is close to Connaught Place which is a central point for various needs and interests. A partner hotel owner by the same management, called Krishna, is a few steps away, and it provides a good breakfast and dining area, so we ate there happily. Staff were polite and efficient. For the budget/middle range traveller, we are very happy to recommend the Krishna Deluxe.

Value for money with an excellent tourist advisor

Posted Nov 12, 2013
Location: Hotel located about 1500 metres from a metro station which is very ,very cheap, clean and at p busy.
Many hotels located in this area, although not a smart area of the old town. I always felt safe in India. The hotel was generally clean, bed linen not the whitest but good enough. No problem with hot water supply and I stayed in 2 rooms over a 7 night stay. Ate in restaurant located in sister hotel 2 doors away a few nights with no side effects. I used the services of Tilak the travel advisor located in the sister hotel. I gave him my requirements via the internet and he came back with a package. Regarding hotels, train journey and safaris in Ranthambhore it took a few emails back and forth. Had a great 6 day tour and would recommend Tilak to organise your trip. I totally enjoyed my whole trip to India, including the Grand Prix at the end of my trip.

Bathroom with no glass

Over all the hotel was good. The only thing I didn't like was the bathroom didn't have a glass door or curtain so when you have shower the water goes everywhere on the floor.
