“GREAT HOTEL, DON'T EAT CHICKEN!”

I stayed in Hotel Shivdev for 3 nights. Great stay for the money. My room was exceptionally clean. Bed was really hard and pillows were awful, but that seems to be standard in India. The front desk and travel desk were very helpful and I organized a very affordable tour of Delhi, Jaipur, and Agra with personal driver, drop off at Agra train station, and hotel stays and train tickets for the rest of my destinations in India. I only had one problem: food poisoning from bad chicken at the rooftop restaurant. It took me out of commission for an entire day and caused a delay to my arrival into Jaipur. Also, room service was less than helpful in the middle of the night when I couldn't move from bed and needed water very badly. They completely ignored one of my calls and once I raised my voice, it still took about 30 minutes to get two bottles of water delivered. If I hadn't gotten sick, this place would have gotten 5 stars. It's hard to be enthusiastic when you're tragically dehydrated and you have to yell at someone to bring you a bottle of water. With that said, I would still recommend this hotel to anyone, just don't eat the chicken!

“good location low class neighborhood”

I had to tell them to change the sheets the first day because it wasn't clean, and they've changed only once in my for days stay,on the other hand the staff was very helpful and polite and although the neighborhood is a very low class one but it seemed that it's especially for low budgeted tours since it has around 100 hotels in it. The good thing also that it's very close to New Delhi train station and a very good touristic market.
