“The Claridges is Lovely”

So lovely in fact that we booked it for our return trip whilst we were there. Make sure you get a room with a view or around the pool. Rooms are small but well kept and beautifully equipped. Staff picked us up and dropped us off at the airport and were helpful and friendly. It would definitely be my first choice when I go back to Delhi again.

“Relaxing stay”

The Claridges Hotel is a haven in a very busy bustling city which many Europeans will find strange. We had a relaxing stay and were able to retreat to the peace of the Hotel. The choice of several excellent restaurants meant that we were able choose different types of food without having to go out in the evenings. We would go back again.

“Would go there again”

Was definitely worth staying here if you get a good rate. The hotel staff was very pleasant and the room was very clean. Got an upgrade, probably because it was off season. Though I would ask for a room facing the inner court yard if you are a light sleeper. Easy to get a taxi to all the places I wanted to see from here, and the prepaid taxi from airport to this hotel is the way to arrive your first day.

“Always a wonderful experience at Claridges”

This is our third stay in the last 5 years, and it is our favorite hotel in north India. Lovely ambiance, great service, beautiful rooms. Well located near Khan Market and Lodhi Gardens. Much nicer than being in the busy Connaught Circus area. Great respite from the hub-bub of India.

“Excellent central hotel, not only for corporate clients”

Claridges is a very nice hotel, with excellently trained staff. It has a perfect central location. In Europe, I would probably call it a business hotel, but in India there is a lot more to it (maybe jsut the Aura vodka bar makes you feel you are in Rotterdam, or Zurich, or Klagenfurt, or anywhere really). The lovely garden, the beautifully designed Sevilla restaurant, delicious food at the Jade resturant make this hotel a convenient business and holiday destination. Rooms are nicely designed, though on a smallish side for Asia, but relatively big by European standards. My only criticism there is that noise from corridors penetrates to the rooms which is, particularly in the morning, quite annoying. Breakfast is good, freshly made eggs and pancakes. Finally, I have to make one more compliment to the staff. They try very hard to please every one, and stay very nice about it.

“Nice surprise -- much better than expected”

We stayed Claridges twi times on this trip, first one night, and second time 5 nights. Both stays were very satisfactory. The rooms (first time a Claridges room, and second time a club room) were both spacious and well maintained, though not impeccable. Front people were friendly and helpful. We were a bit apprehensive about the service and the quality of Claridges based on some comments by former customers, but, everything was fine with us. The only disappointment was the Chinese restaurant -- I suppose it is overly adapted to Indian customers. Breakfast at the club lounge was superb.
